They don't have time to delay releases for PS3. PS3 needs the games NOW, not a year or more from now.
Microsoft loses money and the stock goes up. Sony loses money and the stock goes down.
Ken Kutaragi:
“The PS3 is not a game machine “
Sony Europe CEO David Reeves:
"PS3 would sell millions even if it had no games"

BTW, they have since replaced the picture with one of the blue 555 rally Impreza that shows up in every GT game.
EA had the foresight to see the PS3 sales fiasco well in advance. They announced as far back as Summer 06 that they would be dividing their development resources 40% 360/40% Wii/and 20% PS3. Most of their releases on PS3 are going to be straight up ports of 360 content with little change from the originals. I doubt they will be doing any original games that you can't play on any other system.
Get a 360 and a Wii and you'll have the best game coverage. Anything multi-platform, get on the 360 because it looks better and get all the Wii exclusive games. Another nice thing about the Wii is that with the lower resolution graphics, some of the games that are coming out for the PS2 and Gamecube are also being released for Wii. So you get good cross platform coverage of last generation games as well, plus FULL Gamecube compatibility and great downloadable content from both online services...
$400 is a bit. I usually won't buy a console if it costs more than $300, but you can get rebates and game deals to offset a lot of the cost over $300. Canadians were getting a hell of a deal from some retailers. For a while they got like 3 games free and one of those was GoW. I got $100 rebate on mine, so it brought it down below my threshold. Nobody is offering anything to incentivize the PS3. When someone starts selling the 20gb with like $150-$200 or the 60gb with $100 more in freebies, I ...
They ripped some decent games hard. FNR3 and MUA a 78?? Rayman Rayving Rabbids a 60??
and this
PS3 'exclusive' Devil May Cry 4 will appear on Xbox 360...
Note fanboys, they said WILL not MIGHT or MAY.
One less reason to buy a PS3.
Best Buy and Toys R Us frequently have special prices on games. I got GUN at BB for $20, XMEN at TRU for $20, FFXI was also $20 at TRU, but I didn't buy it and I missed getting Tomb Raider at TRU for $20 because it sold out. Gamestop has King Kong for $20. They also have RR6 for $20. All new prices. You always find bargains on games after they have been out a while.
I'm surprised homeland security didn't charge him with making terroristic threats.
We were also promised flying cars. I want my flying car!!!
Wii is probably the easiest of the three consoles to develop for because it has so much in common with the Gamecube. It shouldn't be too much of a learning curve to figure out how the motion controller works. Most of the rest is straight Gamecube coding.
but you take home less. Your damn NHS is draining the blood out of taxpayers and businesses alike. The only reason your wages are so high, is because if you made any less then they wouldn't be able to take enough money from you to pay for the health care services you use. If there were millions of people making 2-3 pounds an hour there, the government would go broke in the first year.
to replicate the game data 2 or 3 times to make up for a slow drive.
Sony probably issued a Cease and Desist order on them.
they created a job for Krazy Ken where he doesn't have any duties at all.
it takes twice as many sales to reach profitibility. If it takes 500,000 copies to break into profit on PS3, then it only takes 250,000 on 360. To get 250,000 sales on a base of 10 million consoles is considerably easier than getting 500,000 on a console with a base of maximum of 2 million (giving Sony the benefit of the doubt with their numbers).
was supposed to excite me?? Those titles may diversify the Wii lineup, but I don't see a single standout title there that is going to increase demand for the consoles. The biggest reason Wii Play is going to be a hit is that it comes packed with an extra remote for $49.99. Those remotes are $40 alone and a lot of people are still having trouble finding spares.
Because on the official site it doesn't mention a 360 version.
It launched here in USA at $299 which is nowhere near the $499 and $599 they are asking for the PS3. If you are from Europe, I understand you probably paid more than that, but surely you couldn't have paid the same price as a PS3 for a PS2 even when it was launched.
