today AAA only means how much manpower and money is poured into it, it doesnt have much to do with quality if they call stuff like Anthem AAA.

if some rumours are to be believed its already in development, I hope they take a bit more inspiration from the 1st game than 2nd in terms of combat. Those little giggly dudes from 2 started getting annoying pretty fast.

Ill take XIII over XV any day, if i wanted to just mash buttons i would play cookie clicker instead of XV. It was the least interesting combat system ive ever seen in a FF game. FF XIII at least had a comprehensive story, if you wanted to really understand the XV story, you had to watch a movie, an anime and there were some kind of audio logs if im not mistaken.
At least in ff7R they improved on it so mindless bashing doesnt get totally rewarded.

@lucian you just never bothered to learn about it, its not shallow. Smash is also not "a fighting game", its a platform fighter. If you dont learn the platforming or the fighting you're gonna struggle against players who do.
there is teching, move canceling into other moves, certain combos that only work on certain weight class characters at certain %ages, regular combos, movement techniques, perfect pivoting and much more. It's just as legit as any other ...
