@einhand ps+ is 33% less expensive than gamepass*

overwatch 1 also had an open beta and was massively successfull. Take a look at Grinding Gear Games, creators of Path of Exile. They say that they don't need every player to play 24/7, it's fine if they come and play the new update for a month and then come back again for the next.

can we stop with these articles, it's how most gaas games work. At launch there will be a shitton of players and after a while it will die down and people will come back for new patches/updates

yeah idk what's wrong with those people. Playing Starfield probably popped a vessel in their brain and now they can't remember anything accurately anymore.

Actually watched someone do a playthrough of Morrowind and Oblivion and it was completely fine. No it wasn't without bugs and no it wasn't perfect but he had a great time playing it and me watching it, without any mods, can you believe that?

so they made one game that is awful and even mods cant fix it and now all of a sudden their whole library is unplayable? people use so many mods in skyrim cause it's a 15 year old game and by todays standards just doesn't look great and there is so many mods available out of love for the game so why shouldn't you use them?

Piss off

"Apparently they did. It's just another tactic from Microsoft. Microsoft want people to sub to gamepass. Not only that they want people to sub month after month after month. Not sun 1 or 2 months in a year."

So you're saying they want subscribers for their subscription service? damn son, you're blowing my mind

In real life when something like this happens, it always is the case that you keep your current perks until the subscription ...

I don't have much confidence in the project without Ken Levine, but hopefully they prove me wrong

idk if this is true, but isn't online console play included in gamepass? maybe that's why the prices are so different

@einhander still crying about that 0.1s framedrop in hb2? you will probably never answer this but if DF is the lying piece of shits you made them out to be, wouldn't that mean that they were also lying about all the ps games they analyzed? or are they only lying when you don't like the result (aka anything remotely positive being said about how a game runs on a console that's not ps5)?

704d ago 0 agree4 disagreeView comment

it does gives more incentive to get a ps although I don't really agree it increases the games lifespan, witholding it from a portion of players to give it to them later is not what I could consider a new lifespan.

Maybe it's just me but I feel that the people who play on both pc and ps will probably already have their mind made up on which platform they wanna play it on, I don't think it would hurt it that much, if at all, to release them at the same time. I won...

you could also argue if it does so well 3 years later, how well would it do if it gets released day 1 on pc. We won't know until they will try it.

704d ago 3 agree3 disagreeView comment

nah it was really good and that after 13 years people still play and create mods for it is a testament to that.

705d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

even in mario bros 3 it was awful

705d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

yeah no, in 99% of cases underwater combat is just bad/worse than regular combat, I'm good without it.

705d ago 4 agree0 disagreeView comment

yeah the parity clause is the dumbest thing since forcing Kinect on everyone. The series s would have been totally fine if it that wouldn't exist. It just ends up holding both back

@einhander they just bought a company for 70 billion, ofc there is gonna be layoffs. That doesn't excuse the closure of the bethesda studios, but with such an aquisition there are gonna be layoffs sadly, a lot of them.

They spent billions on a fuckton of ips, studios and games, not just a service and why are you comparing starfield to cod? one is a new ip with very much skepticism behind it before launch and cod is one of the biggest, most profitable ip's in gaming....

@caca because they don't do sequels for their mainline mario games with the exception of Galaxy. I like it, means that you get a fresh experience every time. It also works for them since most of their blockbuster 1st party games become smash hits. There is in fact correlation between taking your time and making a good game.

making use of the dualsense is not fully utilizing the ps5 hardware and honestly I don't think many people would expect them to do for a lego game.

ofc, it's Netease, the amazing company that brought us Diablo Immortal

708d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Would you get it if it was a bit cheaper?

I personally also don't like handheld gaming that much, but being able to play the games you already owned on the go was the thing that convinced me to get it. I don't travel that much but when I do, I use it a decent amount although I don't think I can fully say that it was worth the price for me.
