exactly, fighting games for me don't require a story or explanation why a certain character is in the game. If they manage to make a cool story, it's just a bonuns but there's no way that should prevent fan favs from rejoining

I don't believe they were even trying to make it for the switch 1, they made Rise specifically for switch and didn't port over World, so it seems very weird that they would even try to make this one work on switch.

they sold the game in regions where they wouldn't be allowed to play anymore 2 months later when they would finally require their psn account requirement. IF and that's just IF you even wanna do something like that, you need to put some kind of warning in big red letters that you can't play the game anymore after a while but rather just don't sell it in those regions at all. The backlash of that is not review bombing, they literally admitted that they fucked up.

diablo 2 deserved a remake over thps 3 and 4, that's for sure and it's one of the best remakes I ever seen. Diablo 2 was still being played after 20 years, thps 3 and 4 weren't and never will.
We already got the thps 1+2 remake so I'm not sure what you want. 2 games that weren't better than their previous entry or an entry that's better than what came before and after.

if you build your game around the grind, mainly roguelikes and arpgs (diablo, path of exile) there's nothing wrong with it. This is bad though since you can only unlock certain things with money and just to unlock chars/abilities you need to grind like mad already from what I've seen.
