@TailzFan i think legally that would be an issue. Just like normal stores, I doubt the law can force them that they also have to acommodate players trading games between eachother (digitally) and for a platform itself it just makes no sense to do it unless they take a huge cut as middleman. They get 30% of games sold, games traded will ofc sell for a lower price than you can buy on the store, so for them to make the same amount they need to take more than 30% as middleman.

that's just nonsense, square is just bad at ports and have been for years. Japanese ports were notorious for it a good while, but it has gotten better but still nothing to write home about. Take FF7R pt1 for example, at launch on pc there were frequent random fps drops for no reason and a guy, a single guy got a patch out within 2 days that fixed it, if that doesn't say enough about their incompetency with pc ports then idk.
@looken innovation is just not gonna happen in aaa games, they cost too much and the monetary cost of failing is just too high. If you want innovation play indie games, if you want the best graphics, voice acting etc play AAA games.
