@redemption, because the initial launch numbers are reflective of the audience that will stick? It's a marvel game with so many heroes so ofc it's gonna attract a massive audience at launch, this literally says nothing about the longevity of the game. Overwatch 2 had a massive playerbase when they just launched it and look at it now, a lot of the people have moved away from it.
this was one of my most anticipated games for ps4, loved the visuals and the atmosphere they showed.
stop corrolating player numbers with how good a game is, with that logic COD is the best game of all time. Dragon Quest has never been that popular among western gamers, im not sure what you thought the numbers would be? And why do you care so much what one guy, or a couple of streamers say? it takes nothing away from the game unless you let it.
At least we agree that the steam metrics doesn't show how a game is performing, it's not a quarterly earnings report from ...
yeah its awful that you don't have to go to twitter to see if a dev is trying to scam, but that you can actually see it on the platform itself, so disgusting that they show that immediately. I remember you were also upset with Shroud because he said Deadlock would become a massive game in his opinion.....you really should care less about their opinions.....
Steam metrics do exactly what they're meant to do. Show user reviews and how many people are playing and it...
I can't wait for this, looks like a blast to play with a friend
except the console makers aren't the deciders on that, it depends on the chips that amd/nvidia makes. It has always been the case that they get a hyper customized version of existing tech and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
no it's just a ps5 exclusive that has raytracing, it's not like you need to get the raytracing upgrade for your ps5 to be able to play it. Also metro is the outlier, not the norm, so by trying to prove a point and only mentioning one game that the devs just did awful with when it comes to performance and not knowing any other title, that's not the standard.
an nvme, as you said, is also an ssd so I'm not sure why they should specifically mention that. Never seen any game do that, it's not like it's gonna go into overdrive by just saying the word nvme in the specs.
it's slightly higher quality than the shovelware Netease normally puts out because they actually got a license to work with, exactly what they did with Diablo Immortal.
yes let's have random fans without writing experience write a script for a multibillion dollar company, for a game that heavily relies on storytelling and that could potentially be make or break for their revenue for a couple years
$
come on now, everyone on the internet is an internal beta tester, you shoulda known this.
@nooderus I honetly think there's nothing wrong with bias, but it really does seem that critical thinking goes out the window because of it, that part I just don't understand. Wouldn't people want the company/product or what have you to do the best they can instead of accepting everything they shovel towards you because you like them?
I agree but honestly with them forcing devs to state that you're renting a license for games and now this, it just seems like they're covering their asses for the inevitable legislation changes that will come. It's already happening in some countries, gamers aren't putting up with the shit of scummy devs anymore, at some point governments can't ignore people anymore. It benefits both steam and their players so I'm all for it, the other stores will probably wait with do...
they'll force psn on the single player games, not sell it in 2/3 of all the countries around the world and then yall will say here: SEE IT DOESNT SELL ON PC
they can, just not at a reasonable price. The smaller it gets the more exponentially the price grows for parts
because one has sprites and one has 3d models
building pc's on a budget videos or articles won't stop because of p5pro launching, not sure what you're on about.
remember when you all believe pr talk as truth? what is he supposed to say "nah didn't like it don't buy it". You would run your company even harder into the ground than they've done so far.
@chris i agree with you mostly, but there's also an aspect that a lot of women think that any kind of shittalking in a game is toxic misogynistic etc while their male counterparts get the exact same treatment and don't bat an eye and this isn't even exclusive to videogames, in most competitive spheres stuff like this happens. That's ofc not to say that there aren't shitheads who specifically target women
