Saying that it's not (only) Hermen Hulst who is at fault is not defending sony, it's observing the timeline and using common sense. Playstation's whole strategy with the live service was just a failure, they could maybe have done 1 besides helldivers, but there is no reason to make a scapegoat out of this guy for things when they were greenlit, he could do nothing about.

Mate, Concord was greenlit way before Hermen Hulst became CEO. Should he just have canclled it? No one expected the game to flop to the degree that it did, no one could have. The beta was way too late for that.
if you're playing diablo to get branching story paths you're doing something wrong. Completely different game. The replayability in arpgs is the grind for better items and the ultimate chase is the perfect item. Might not be your cup of tea, but millions of people do.

sony is totally not the problem when they charge 100 euros extra for it in europe even though the euro is higher than the dollar, they're just perfect. And the showcase was just bad, they showed slightly more detailed leaves and a crowd, of course the public perception is gonna be bad then. It's their own fault for coming with one of the worst showcases in playstation history. They couldn't even be arsed to show 1 new game, not even ONE at a showcase for their new console.

diablo 4 is actually a pretty good game now, the launch was just terrible, but honestly it was worse for D3 at launch. Farming inferno for 10 hours just to get a bunch of yellows that weren't for your class or 10 levels lower, combined with the rubberbanding and Hydra getting double the bonusses that it should have and the real money auction house. Hardcore was unplayable in D3, in D4 it was fine for me at least. Combined with not being able to log at launch or just getting kicked out. D3...
im not excusing them for never having done more with Bloodborne, but with a first party game like this it's way easier logistics wise.
guess we'll just have to wait for that when their next video comes out and it's not about a Sony title, then hunting season is opened again

@crazy each platform still has mostly the same pro's and cons that it had 20 years ago and i don't see that changing anytime soon, hell nintendo even insists on always being the weakest one in terms of power of the 3 and somehow they keep making it work.
