I think some people mean d4, others are trying to refer to dead rising 3.

@DrGonzo

I would buy that if Microsoft was actually 'advertising' anything. Microsoft (and Sony) sends information regularly to developers about changes to hardware and software. It gives them the information they need to make informed decisions about their games. Once the information gets out the the public, the public adds all kinds of speculation to it.

This particular article, was Microsoft answering a question that the a member of the media asked...

I've never used ps+ personally, but there's no denying that the benefits are awesome. I'm glad Sony didn't just try to match Microsoft's offering, but they sought to exceed it. That type of competition is going to pay off for all gamers, regardless of platform.

I'm also glad that Sony has made ps+ a requirement for online play. Their generosity this gen, is what lead to psn's instability and month long outage. I was just about to get a ps3 when tha...

Please, most gamers are too busy playing games to bother staring at the bottom corner of the home screen enough to even notice the ads.

You're acting as if, commercials pop up in between rounds.

I really don't see this as a fight between two giants.

Obviously, they'll both sell really well. lots of people will buy both titles.

Whether or not titan fall comes to PS4 isn't a big deal either. It can still make a lot of money and become a franchise with legs...

Instead of insta-death, they player should live in free-fall, until struck by debris or hitting the ground. That would be more impressive.

Anyone who know anything about consumer product launches knows that these tweaks and changes happen all the time. People are just making a big deal out of microsofts tweaks because the perceived 'desperation' from MS helps validate their purchase decisions... For whatever reason.

When you look at the statistics on how much time gamers spend on multiplayer vs single player, its surprising that so much development time typically goes into the single player.

Don't get me wrong, I understand that story, plot, and characters are important to most franchises, but if those things can be incorporated into the multiplayer game, wouldn't that be the better investment?

When I look at games like CoD and Battlefield, where the single playe...

Microsoft didn't announce their indie plans until after Sony started touting self publishing and indie support.
Microsoft was 'the bad guy' at this time, so a lot of folks assumed Microsoft's newly revealed indie policies were a knee jerk reaction to Sony's.

Considering the complexity of what MS is doing, its pretty silly to think they made it up on the fly within a couple of weeks.

Yea, if done right, Kinect could be just as useful for navigating a map as a touch pad is 'think minority report or iron man 3'... of course I've been navigating maps for ages using joysticks without many complaints...

The only reason this game is 'controversial' is because it was presented prior to the gameplay mechanics being finalized.

Crytech would have been better off to show a cutscene and a hud-less gameplay montage instead of a playthrough.

Of course, folks were out for Microsoft blood at the time (and still are), so the term 'work in progress' meant nothing to them.

It looks like it could be a lot of fun.

You signed up to be a beta tester, not to get early access to a stable product. If you can't handle playing through unfinished code, you shouldn't have signed up.

"They should have tested it on regular pcs" uh.. that's what the beta is for... smh

It truly comes down to preference, but people need to realize it's the the asymmetrical design of the xbox controller is based on the dominant action performed in first person shooters.

With an asymmetrical layout, when held like two guns, your left thumb comfortably on the left stick and it will rarely move from this position. your right thumb will move back and forth between the face buttons and the joystick.

It's trivial to say Sony's symmetri...

I don't think titan fall saved the genre, because it really isn't anything new and the genre was never in danger. It's most exciting features, Mechs and Mobility are nothing new to FPS.

Titan Fall is, however, refreshing at at time when modern military shooters have been dominating the landscape, and it does achieve a novel balance between foot and vehicle based gameplay.

I can't wait to play it.

It's technically possible, but logistically... don't expect to ever see it happen. At least not between Sony and Microsoft consoles. Microsoft is pretty adamant about all online experiences being delivered through their own channels.

I don't get your point. The top ten Sony list also only had 3 franchises GT, crash bandicoot and uncharted. A Nintendo list would probably only have mario, wii sports, and pokemon.

If your talking about the 10 top selling exclusives per manufacturer, You aren't going to see much variety.

These pictures don't do the game any justice. I'm just as skeptical of ea sports, but the launch trailer looked much better compared to current gen than theses stills imply.

I don't see anything to complain about in that video. The player models are spot on, and the animations are as fluid as ever... you can always count on 2k... I wish the still made a football game...

I get what your saying. But I just would have assumed more people would have taken the same type i took:

I started out with cod, and played ask of the infinity ward games up until mw2. By that time the gameplay was pretty stale and I moved on to the depth of Battlefield.

I understand the simple nature of cod is appealing to new players. I'm just shocked more old players haven't grown tired of it and moved to Battlefield.

No that's not how it would work at all. First of all, Microsoft's xbox cloud is powered by its existing azure cloud services; rolling it out to Xbox would not be a huge cost to MS. For that reason Microsoft would not have to offset poor hardware sales by increasing rates on developers. In fact that would be counterproductive to their goal.

If Microsoft sales were unsatisfactory, they would do the what manufacturers always do: drop the price of the console, and/or bund...
