Why wouldn't they have other consoles at their offices... I don't know either way, but if this is your 'evidence' it wouldn't stand in court.
Boo hoo, gtav it's with the price of admission for its single player online alone.
The value will only go up once online works properly
Lol looks better and better every time I see it. I'm looking forward to direct feed footage of this....
You don't know much about the game.when it's all said and done, you'll have paid $60 for the whole game, no different than folks are used to.
Yeah Im not really feeling this article. The headlines say Sony trounced smartglass, but really, it just includes the exact same features Microsoft announced months ago.
Do you REALLY see this and Destiny as direct competitors?
After watching that trailer, i want a wii u for the very first time. They played fan service to everything n64 and prior... the golden years in my book...
The less likely it it's that i run across a foul mouthed brat or a racist bro, the happier I'll be. I hope this works out for MS.
Most of the games you mentioned don't have a large multiplayer component... if any...so that isn't a strong argument.
not to mention relatively few PlayStation gamers even use mics.
Throw in CoD on either console and you'll find plenty of 'kiddies'
I don't get this article. It's killing finally fun? I've found virtual killing fun since the first bird i capped in duck hunt. And I'm not ashamed to say, i tried to shoot that innocent dog every time he t
Would show me my prize.
And guess what I'm still a functional member of society!
It's a sad day when game journalists feed ammo to the media trolls
The problem is people already pre-ordered stand-alones. Instead of shipping what was ordered, Sony is shipping bundles and saying 'give me more money if you want to keep your spot in line'.
I was being sarcastic when I called it an MS tactic. I figured that's what the fanboys would call it.
The point I was trying to make is that i thought Sony fanboys would at least be consistent in their reasoning. But around here, it seems like the attitude is 'whatever Sony does is great'
No wool over my eyes. I know both companies want the same thing 'all of my money'. As long as they both give me good games in return, I'll spend it ...
I just knew i would come on here and see a bunch of Sony fans pissed that Sony is resorting to 'Microsoft' tactics.'
But no, folks are actually defending this practice.
Say you preordered a standalone ps4 and were psyched to get it day one. Maybe you were content to play some demos and driveclub until some game reviews came in. Now they are telling you you'll no longer get your console on day1 unless you spend an extra $100 on a game you'r...
This is probably true. As evidenced by the underpowered (when compared to pcs) next gen consoles, 7-10 years from now, there will be no way to release home console hardware with performance and at a price that will justify buying another box.
The only way to deliver will be with cloud compute. As much as Sony fanboys will hate to admit it now, both consoles manufactures can and will make strides in that area this gen, with the intent on easing everyone into the idea.
The story for me is that this confirms that the xb1 version uses Kinect. Now I'm wondering how. Hopefully it enables head tracking in vehicles.
It's great that the network data is being handled by the dedicated servers, but it's unfortunate that a 'session master' well be needed to handle some game logic. This means that cpu resources will have to be set aside on each device in case that user is chosen to be session master. It also means migration or session termination if the session master drops out, or lag if their connection slows down.
GGs approach is much better than p2p, but it doesn't have...
There will be an unrated channel and a rated channel.
Lol, instead of admitting the current gen held the next gen back, they claim the reverse.
Truthfully, both versions look underwhelming.
Since the '180', there hasn't been any 'significant' negative press to speak of. Sure there are are members of the gaming blogosphere who want to burn Microsoft at the stake, but relatively few gamers read this stuffs, so most of the general public has no grudge against MS. Many don't even know about the original policies, and they certainly don't care about Sony's indie game push.
Price, won't be the differentiator this holiday season eith...
Yeah, if this is what people consider a 'downgrade', we can only hope games get downgraded all the time. The visuals look fantastic!
This won't be the first game i get for xbox one, but once i pay through dr3 it'll be on my list.
