It takes longer to test trophies than it does to implement them. That may be part of the reason why, if they're on a tight schedule (or used up their resources) with their play testers and coders.
You know that they are forcing devs to add trophies into games, right? The ones listed are all too recent to be forced into it, but any game not far into development, and every game that begins development WILL have trophies. It's not even a big deal, but you're too ignorant in your perspective.
Look ahead 6 months, it's how you have to look at Sony. It's like they're playing Chess, and MS is playing Checkers. I swear, I can't wait for the day Sony's plan comes into full swing an...
I usually don't laugh at "multi disc insults," but that was pretty funny.
Also, YES! Konami NEED to tell me a clear "Yes" or "No" on trophies. I'm very patient, but this is just killing me.
Chill out, this is just a rumor right now. Reread the article if you really don't believe me. Either way, a successful formula is successful...
You better not recover health while playing dead though, that would be crossing the line with this perk, imo.
I don't have the money or incentive to buy a Wii or 360. Am I not a true hardcore gamer? Hardly. I play all systems, but 2 of them at my friends' houses. I think to generalize hard core as having all the systems is a bit misleading, just like it is to generalize it as "competitive FPSer."
I'm different than you. You want NOTHING more out of a console except the ability to play games (apparently). I enjoy a console as a muli-purpose tool. If I want to play a game, but don't know which one, I'll hop into Home and hang around to see if anyone wants to start up a group for a game; or I'll hang out and watch some movies; or I'll play some arcade games; etc.
I welcome change with an open mind, and I won't pass preliminary judgment on something that you can't truly judg...
Back your **** up with examples. Oh wait, you're just a biased fanboy whose mad that Avatars aren't well liked (your comment a bit above this one). Home is an app and Avatars are the new gamer pic. Now why do you think people are interested in Home, but indifferent toward Avatars?
The reason is flexibility for me, in case you can't think of one reason other than "they're biased lulz."
Well, this is in the wrong spot. Ignore this comment.
The emphasis throughout is on enjoyment rather than speed. “We’ve put the priority on making the game fun to use,” says Evans (pictured). “People think you’ll be able to make a Miyamoto-style level in five minutes. Not quite. You can make a Miyamoto level, but it will probably take all weekend. Our effort has been to make sure that weekend’s fun.”

You can make a level a race (vertically or horizontally), you can have a "collect the most stuff" level, you can make a standard platformer with obstacles, you can make a story / poem / joke into a level. The fun is in making the level, and playing with your friends.
In fact, the whole premise of the game is to define the word "fun." It may be hard to see from gameplay videos, but I bet you the people playing the game are all smiling, and that's what this gam...
I completely agree. I read Kotaku everyday, and I NEVER noticed them having some serious bias. I never even thought about it until I came to n4g, but I still don't see it.
This feels like Disagree-bait D:
No split screen last time I checked (I check fairly often). It's sick that we get bots and co-op though, I'm really psyched about those.
If it helps, I'll be in the Kotaku comments with some Sony love :P
Clan Valor seems like a really nice innovation (correct me if it's been done before). I like the choice to have a squad.
Bah, there's too much for me to type it all up now, I'm watching Real Vice Cops Uncut, and it's interesting me :o
RIGHT before I read your post I was thinking to myself "Hmmm, mfwahwah. Why are you reading these comments when you could just move on; it's nothing but Kotaku hate!" Then lo and behold, I read your comment right before I was going to leave. I'm freaked out.
Anywho, I'm really excited for KZ2. I read the same exact **** every other article, and I've seen gameplay vids of that warehouse level enough to memorize it. I don't even mind it, because of the little bits of news...
"Megaton" can't be thrown around at every little thing. This isn't THAT big of a game.
I REALLY like the whole concept (not story-wise, but gameplay). It's the actual reality of the gameplay that scares me though. I have this itching feeling that it'll be really fun at first, but then it'll just get boring / repetitive. I also don't see this game having much replay value.
It would be like Assassin's Creed all over again *shudder*
I'll just rent it or get some feedback after it comes out to be sure though.
Do most gamers really do that in Japan? I've never heard of that before.
It may be a joke, but I bet you just gave a bunch of people a "good idea."
