I understand why they did it, and it did work the way they wanted it to, in a sense (though the first year wasn't very good for them up until hype for Gears of War started building up). It's not just software that is causing foreign consumers to turn their back on it. I don't know about Europe, but one of the core complaints in Japan is that the hardware is horribly made, and just not worth the money to buy half-assed American electronics. The rest of the world doesn't live in the same "buy this cause we say it's great" consumer culture as Americans do.

I don't wanna jump on board with the "Peter Moore moved to EA to mess up PS3 titles" conspiracy, but I am upset with the fact that EA seems to be the only group who can't make a game without frame rate issues on the PS3.

FFXIII was just recently reiterated as PS3 only at the TGS, and Kojima has also said on several occasions throughout the year that they have no plans on porting MGS4 to the 360.

Halo fanboys are horrible. Even if you just don't like the hype, but enjoy the games, they still act like "WTF MASTER CHIEF OWNS GO SUCK YOUR PS3".
Halo is a good console FPS, but there are way better ones out there. UT3 looks like 10x the FPS Halo 3 is going to be, but that doesn't mean I think Halo 3 is bad. I'm looking forward to playing it too.

This video is several weeks old, but a good one anyways. I can't wait for this game to come out.
Of course Live is better than PSN right now. They're not planning to completely overhaul PSN because they're going to release Home. Any big improvements to the PSN interface right now would be a complete waste of energy and time since Home is the ultimate upgrade they're planning.
Edit - I should say of course Live has the better interface. Whether it's better quality is highly debatable.
