"Biggest news in G4 history" = network TV reruns?
I know a lot of people watch Heroes, but I don't. Even if I did, this would only rank as a 2 or 3 out of 5 in terms of ground-shaking announcements.
Cried wolf. I'll never believe them again when they say they have giant news.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3 would own face. Hope that's the announcement.
It's hard to really blow the doors off the hinges with innovation in the FPS genre. FPS's have been around for decades, so most of it has already been done before.
As much as I love Unreal Tournament, I know it's not going to be above and beyond the level of every other FPS nowadays. They're adding a ton of vehicles and cool stuff, and going balls-deep with the graphics, but other than that, it'll be the same old great FPS franchise I've grown to love.
I think ...
Err...this isn't really news. I think HD-DVD has always had the lead in stand-alones. The difference in price tags most likely being the sole reason.
Yeah ^^
I'm curious about how to obtain my prize as well.
As if Apple laptops weren't overpriced enough...
These kinds of gizmos always make my stomach churn. There are people who have to worry about whether or not they're going to eat today, and then there are people who buy gold-plated and diamond studded laptops. Incredibly uneven balance in the world. /righteousness
I'd prefer silver/platinum, gold is ugly to me. =P
Whoa, I won $100?
Agreed. I personally haven't supported EA since they canned Thrill Kill for PS1 after buying out the company that was making it.
EA not being able to make a PS3 game with a decent framerate just shows that, for the most part, their developers are two-bit hacks. I'm scared to think about how The Orange Box is going to turn out, being caught in the clutches of EA.
Boo, Kratos at number 8. Shoulda been in the top 3.
Go Duke Nukem! Glad they at least remembered him...
Anyone who's been into gaming for longer than a couple years knows they're just blowing smoke.
The X-Box camp excels at advertising, slandering their competition(sometimes without merit), burying their faults under 6ft of hype, and riding the coattails of Halo as proof of being "the best thing to ever happen to gaming".
I don't think they even truly believe they have the best lineup in history, they're just dribbling advertising from the mouth.
...
I'm assuming this is partially in response to HD-DVD's claims of having a 51 gig disc.
Am I the only person who played Marathon on the Mac?
Same here. That was gonna be my first buy with my PS3. I'm buying one in October, price cut or not. Really disappointed that it might get pushed back.
I think it just means the 360 version will be pushed back as well. They haven't even started working on it yet, and the longer they work on the PS3 version, the longer until they get started on the 360.
Ouch... I don't know how big of an effect that will have on them overall, since the majority of the UT community tends to stick to the PC, but that definitely hits me. That was my #1 buy for PS3 this year.
As others have said, now it's going to go into direct competition with the big hitters of 2008. Very bad release plans...
Such good things being said about this game by everyone who's gotten their hands on it in the industry. Anxiously awaiting to play it.
I think he'll eventually just dig himself deep enough on his own and lose his license to practice law. For an attorney, he sure isn't very bright about how he does things.
Sending gay porn to judges inside his paperwork without any warning? Come on...
He's had his license suspended before, and it's only a matter of time before he loses it completely.
That's what I was referring to about Epic. Microsoft takes whatever they can, including the bulk of the profits and rights to each project. Since Epic is still under contract with Microsoft to do a Gears sequel, I think they'd be saying they love working with them anyways, no matter what's really going on.
In all the UT interviews, they refuse to take sides, and say they love everyone. Typical neutral response they have to take publicly.
Even if Bungie breaks away from Microsoft (which isn't that crazy, and definitely plausible), don't expect to see anything Halo anywhere but the 360. Microsoft owns it.
Epic had a similar distasteful experience with Microsoft while making Gears. Throwing money around to buy exclusives can't last forever if the devs really don't like working under you.
Yeah that controller is ridiculous haha.
