That's awesome you got to try it out. So far I've only heard great things about the 3D effect. What did you think of the 3D effect?
This was a great conference from Nintendo. I wasn't at all disappointed. However, I also noticed the lack of any new IP's. Nintendo would be wise to remedy that.
Fantastic. The first one was great. I'm really looking forward to this.
EDIT: Oops. For some reason I thought this was PixelJunk Monsters 2. That's what I want. Shooter was okay, but Monsters needs a sequel.
You're wrong about the 3DS graphical capabilities being inferior to the PSP. According to numerous observers, the 3DS is comparable to the Wii, graphically. The PSP is somewhere between a PS1 and a PS2 (but closer to PS2). The Wii is basically double the power of a Gamecube, and the Gamecube was comparable to the PS2. So if you add this all together, the 3DS is probably more than double the power of a PSP.
EDIT: You must have posted your follow-up comment while I was typi...
Can someone explain to me why cross-game chat for PS3 has been such a huge demand? If you want to talk to someone who's playing a different game than you are, then why not just call that person on a cell phone or something.
I was almost certain Sony would announce the PSP 2 at E3 just to counter Nintendo's 3DS. I'm betting they'll announce it this Fall.
I clicked "agree" for your post. You make a good point.
Whoever said that? I've never heard anyone make the claim that the 3DS would be comparable to a 360 or PS3. It would be ludicrous to expect that.
Soda, you're just flat-out wrong. Graphically, the PSP is somewhere between a PS1 and a PS2, whereas the 3DS is graphically comparable to a Wii according to many observers. The Wii itself is basically double the power of a Gamecube, and the Gamecube was about on the same level as the PS2. So the 3DS is clearly a more capable machine than the PSP.
However, I do expect Sony's inevitable PSP 2 to overpower the 3DS.

Yes, if you ...
I just checked out the screen shots, and you're right. It looks much better than the N64 original.
It's not on the wrong side. An analog stick/pad should always be on the left by default. That's how you control characters/objects in three dimensions, like in the Mario and Zelda games.
I'll admit though, it wouldn't have hurt to add a second stick on the right for FPS games, and to control cameras, etc.
Star Fox 64 is a classic. I'm glad Nintendo is bringing it back in 3D. Hopefully they'll improve the graphics and add new content too.
I'd love a new Metroid in 3D. Get on that Nintendo.
That's a very reasonable price. It's the same as a Wii remote packed with the Wii motion plus. I was worried this would cost quite a bit more.
Yet another incorrect use of the word "literally." I'm pretty sure that nobody in the crowd was literally stunned, figuratively maybe, but not literally.
Great rack. Nice abs too.
Microsoft wouldn't even consider putting Blu-Ray in any model of the Xbox 360. No developer would consider producing their games on Blu-Ray for Xbox 360 because they would alienate all the millions of current 360 owners whose consoles don't have a Blu-Ray drive. The only thing it would be good for is Blu-Ray movies, and Microsoft isn't going to add a Blu-Ray drive just for that, because it would raise manufacturing costs. In all likelihood though, Microsoft will probably use a Blu...
It's about f-ing time Microsoft put Wi-Fi in one of there 360 models. Every other system, including portables, has built-in Wi-Fi. That includes the Nintendo DS for crying out loud. Now they just need to get rid of that hard-drive-less joke they call the Arcade model, and make new controllers with rechargeable batteries.
I call Pachter a hack. Although Kinect does look interesting.
Whoa, if that's true, Nintendo does need to get on that and release it here.
Yeah, I'm with you. I loved Pikmin 2. It was my second favorite Gamecube game behind only Metroid Prime. I can't wait for Pikmin 3.
