(Sorry, left a comment I wanted to delete, but can't for some reason. So instead you get to read this)
"Move has been worked on since 2001"
WHAT???
The first set of games you mentioned (God of War 3 to Gran Turismo 5) are all great technological achievements, but I wouldn't consider any of them to be particularly innovative, at least in terms of gameplay. Don't get me wrong, they're fun (the ones that have been released) but not really innovative.
According to every survey I've seen, Nintendo seemed to be the winner at E3. Though Sony consistently comes in second in said surveys.
EDIT: I'm just going by what I've seen on several user surveys like on IGN, 1up, Destructoid, and a few others.
"3D DS with lower graphics than PS1"
That statement is hilarious. It's also the reason you have all those disagrees.
If true, that's stupid. In the not-too-distant future, 3D will be a standard feature for most TV's. The prices for 3D TV's are steep right now, but they'll go down, and in the next five years, it'll get to the point where the majority of households have 3D TV's. That's not very forward-thinking of Microsoft to dismiss 3D.
It looks like it will be amusing for children, but I haven't seen anything that appeals to me on Kinect.
This is just a random guess, but I'm thinking Nintendo will call them "Awards."
Every gaming company copies someone else sometimes, even Nintendo.
"Why Valve on the PS3 Can Change Everything"
Wow, you've got to love hyperbole. The fact that Valve has finally decided to focus on the PS3 is good, but it's not going to "Change Everything." PS3 has been doing fine without Valve, and would have continued to do fine had Valve not decided to support Sony.
Nintendo is usually very cost-conscious. So I doubt it will cost $250. I'm betting it will be between $150 and $200. My guess (and this is only a guess) is that it will end up being about $179.99.
@Quadrix
Going after achievements is not synonymous with cheating. I can understand the frustration when you're in some online experience, and your teammates or allies are focusing on getting trophies/achievements instead of focusing on the best winning strategy, but that's different than cheating.
"Yes you can sit or stand with Kinect"
Okay, great. But can I use it while standing on my head?
That doesn't make sense. How are achievements an incentive to make people cheat?
An achievement-type system would be great. I enjoy going after trophies on PS3, so I'd enjoy it on 3DS also. I'm wondering what they'd call it though. Awards, maybe?
You're comparing Apples to Oranges. The iPhone is a hybrid machine with multiple functions. It was never designed specifically for gaming, and that's why those restrictions exist. Whereas the 3DS is dedicated specifically to gaming, so no such restrictions or limitations apply.
The PSP is not 7 years old. It was released in, I believe March or April of 2005. That would make it 5 years old.
I don't think Nintendo ever said that. But I think certain developers who are familiar with the specs of the 3DS have said that it's somewhere between a Wii and a 360/PS3. Of course we won't know for sure until specs are released, but I hope that's true.
The Dreamcast was not more powerful than the PS2. The PS2 out-powered the DC in every way. I'm not sure where you're getting your information.
And exactly what upgrades did Nintendo borrow from the PSP for their 3DS? Are you referring to the adoption of the widescreen or something?
Hardware price cuts always immediately boost sales. I doubt this will be a long-term trend though.
