I clicked on the review, but nothing came up. What's up with that? Did they take the review down for some reason?
That would all be nice, but it would cost an arm and a leg.
Why do you say that? Numerous gaming journalists who have tried the 3DS have suggested otherwise. There has been near-unanimous praise of the 3DS's 3D effect, with numerous claims that the image actually pops out of the screen in true 3D fashion.
This has to be the dumbest article I've ever read about the 360. Nowhere in the article does the author describe how the 360 Slim is a step backward from the original models. In fact he does the opposite by saying that the new 360 Slim is smaller, quieter and has built-in Wi-Fi.
I agree. Stupid move on Sony's part.
@HolyOrangeCows
I haven't heard anyone suggest that the PSP2 would not be able to survive without 3D. But I am saying that it's stupid of Sony not to combat Nintendo with its own 3D portable, especially considering Sony seems to have such a hard-on for 3D. (I hope I don't come across as a Sony-hater. I have a PS3, and I love it)
@nycredude
There's a BIG difference betwe...
I love Futurama. I'm so glad this show is coming back.
Nintendo has ruled the handheld market ever since the original Gameboy was released in 1989. Nintendo has shown time and time again that it can triumph over the competition, even when the competition has more advanced hardware. Does anyone really believe this will change, especially considering the buzz Nintendo's upcoming 3DS has received? The answer is no. Sony will likely be able to stay afloat in the handheld market, but Sony will not beat Nintendo.
Final Fantasy 13 was the "Star Wars: Episode 1, The Phantom Menace" of the Final Fantasy franchise. Final Fantasy 13 Versus will most likely be just as bad, if not worse, regardless of what console/s it appears on.
I don't even own an Xbox 360, but I hope to hell FF13 Versus gets ported over to the 360 just for the fun of hearing people whine like a bunch of babies.
3D would be nice I suppose, but more than anything, I'd like Nintendo to invest more capital in creating more of a graphics powerhouse with their next console. Nintendo basically just doubled the power of the Gamecube with the Wii console. Can you imagine if they did that again, and just doubled the power of the Wii with their next console? Even that would be vastly inferior to the 360 and PS3. Nintendo's next console should, at the very least, be as powerful as a PS3. I know graphics...
I'll hold off until Mr. Plinkett reviews this game.
"Are Playstation 3 and Wii fans polar opposites?"
Not necessarily. I own and enjoy both consoles.
"We've seen how high priced handhelds just don't sell well, look at the PSP Go."
Good point, but the PSP Go had more problems than just the steep price tag. I really can't imagine Nintendo pricing this higher than $200, especially considering Nintendo's history and the fact they are very cost-conscious.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO TYPE IN ALL CAPS. ALL IT DOES IS ANNOY PEOPLE AND MAKE THEM THINK YOU'RE SHOUTING AT THEM.
That's my guess too. But I'd pay up to $250 for one.
@SpaceFox (below)
Ha, that's funny. You may be right, so I'll rephrase that and say that I'll pay up to $250 if they pack a game with it.
The Wii is basically double the power of the Gamecube. That makes it slightly better than the original Xbox. So it can't render three times the number of polygons as the Xbox.
I have to say though, I'm digging the new look of Skyward Sword. To me it looks really nice.
gtamike knows damn well that the 3DS looks better than the PS1. He's made similar comments about how the 3DS is "lower than PS1 graphics" in other 3DS articles. He's just trolling.
It just dawned on me, why isn't Microsoft supporting Nintendo's handhelds. Microsoft doesn't have a handheld of their own. It would be pretty awesome if they supported the 3DS with a Banjo, or Halo, or Gears or something.
I agree GWAVE. I can't understand the complaints either. I love the look of Skyward Sword. It reminds me of Twilight Princess with a dash of Wind Waker cartoonishness. Really good stuff.
I have complete faith in Retro Studios that they'll do a good job with this game. They worked on the three Metroid Prime games, and those turned out great.
