You should try the remake of the original on the Gameboy Advance. It's called Metroid: Zero Mission. It's a great game and a great example of how to properly do a remake.
Those two are my favorites also.
Other M is a solid Metroid game, but just about every other Metroid game is better in my opinion.

I've been avoiding Activision games for a while now, and I would recommend others do the same. They're about as greedy as a corporation can be, and they treat their workforce like disposable trash. Bobby Kotick is an evil asshole. Look him up and read about the crap that has come out of his mouth. He has no respect for his workers or the gaming public.

I liked every pick on the list except Final Fantasy 13, which I thought was a major letdown.
Let's wait until Nintendo releases the 3DS specs, and let's wait and see what the finished software looks like, then we can accurately compare the 3DS with other stuff. Until then, what's the point.
At first this score had me excited, then I remembered Gamespot gave that piece of crap Final Fantasy 13 an 8.5, so now I don't know what to think. Oh well, I only have to wait a few more days to try this.
