But you're leaving out tax.
Because, like Capcom and other publishers, EA arbitrarily decided that the survival horror market wasn't big enough despite big sales numbers for said genre.
Some of the best consoles had weak launches both in terms of quality and quantity. The mighty PS2, the best selling console ever, had a very weak launch lineup. All that matters is that a system launches with that ONE game that makes you want the console, and Zelda is that game for Switch.
How do you figure it's PS3 caliber? Isn't it designed from the ground up for PS4? I mean, it's not a remaster or anything.
Yeah, for scalpers only.
Be honest, your best friend's wife is a whore.
It doesn't need to fit in your pocket to be successful. Many people carry tablets with them wherever they go and that can't fit in a pocket. Try fitting a 3ds xl or Vita in a case in your pocket. It's hard unless you're wearing cargo pants.
You only mention the Wii U but conveniently leave out the fact that 3ds has an install base of 60 million. The majority of those gamers will move on to the Switch eventually.
Why? Because Wii U sold poorly? What about the 60 million Nintendo fans who bought a 3ds? You don't think the bulk of them will move on to its successor especially with all first party games releasing on one machine (the Switch).
In the same universe where 3ds sold 60 million units. Keep in mind, Switch isn't just Nintendo's next console, it's also their next portable, and Nintendo portables always sell well. Also bear in mind that all Nintendo software next gen will release on one machine as opposed to two. That alone will drive hardware sales significantly, even if third parties don't heavily support it.
Hopefully they're working on a new 2D or 3D Metroid.
You may find this analysis unreasonable but remember, Switch is PRIMARILY Nintendo's next portable system, and all of their true portables have been big successes (not counting Virtual Boy since that's not a true portable). I think Switch will meet or exceed this prediction.
You can expect Scorpio to be $499 to $599 USD.
I own a Wii U but it looks like the Switch version is the way to go. It looks and runs better in every professional comparison vid I've seen. I want my first play through of this game to be the best running version, so Switch version it is.
Hopefully Nintendo designed it so you can "switch" out the battery with a better one.
@captainexplosion
No, MK8 on Wii U is 720p.
This can only be because the game wasn't shaping up to be good. No publisher wants to knowingly release a bad game so the cancellation is understood. And don't think Platinum can't make a bad game. Their recent TMNT game was heavily panned.
I'd have to disagree. Switch functions as a console but it's also Nintendo's next portable, and all Nintendo's portables have been successful, not counting Virtual Boy since that's not a true portable. And for the first time ever with Switch, ALL Nintendo games next gen will release on only one system instead of two. So even if 3rd parties don't commit strongly, Switch will still get ALOT of Nintendo 1st party games, which will draw a lot of people. Plus it's launc...
It astounds me that SE does nothing with the Chrono Trigger ip. A turn based remake and a proper sequel would be great.
I'm playing the Wii U version, and it looks and plays just fine. I can't compare it to the Switch version though since I haven't tried that.
