@thinkthink
I agree! I'm planning to buy both of them, hopefully they both release in 2020.
@yellowgerbil
There's one in every crowd. Too bad stupidity isn't terminal.
I'll say this......As someone who plans to buy both consoles, I'm pleased that they have taken two different approaches to the next gen, instead of basically being the same box with a different name slapped onto it. It makes it exciting for the possibilities for both Sony and Microsoft, and I think that's a great thing for gaming.
@logicwins
Full backcompat? How do you figure that? Cerny himself stated that of the top 100 ps4 games, he is predicting most would be available to play at launch. How you think that equates to full backwards compatibility at E3 is a mystery. Your brain works differently.
I'm set up right now with 5.2.4, and only really listen to headphones late at night when I don't want to disturb my family. I wonder when it will be optimized for surround sound as the article just says "later".....headphon e optimization day one, surround sound day ___ ?
I'm attracted to both of them.....
:)
@cdbiggen
I understand what you're saying, but you're a bit off the mark. Exclusives matter, but so does performance. In my case, I bought a ps4 this gen and had no reason to buy an xbox one. Sony has many more of the exclusives I care about. I owned a 360 and ps3, because there were exclusives on both consoles I felt I didn't want to miss. Next gen, I'll be buying both the series x and the ps5.
I like the moves Microsoft has made with game pass and the ...
It will be expensive. Phil Spencer stated long ago the series x is a "premium" console. I don't know about you, but when I hear premium, I think expensive. It will be interesting to see where they price it, and when/if they give an update about the lower priced rumored lockhart alternative.
399 lol. Prepare to be disappointed.
@jin_sakai
LOL at your price predictions.
@echo
Precisely. People are arguing back and forth about which is better, more powerful, more technically proficient, but I'm happy that Sony and Microsoft have taken different approaches to the next gen, and we are getting two different machines, both choosing a different path. People should be thrilled we're not getting the exact same product from both companies.
I'm on board with both, and have planned to purchase both consoles at launch. Everythi...
@dumahim
Be thankful. I ordered some stuff last Friday from Amazon, got a confirmation, and almost immediately after got notification that all my orders were cancelled, and my amazon account was restricted and shutdown. I had to call in and give confirmation that the orders weren't fraudulent, had to call my bank to do the same, had to speak to other Amazon reps and managers to get it all straightened out, and after all that, much of what I ordered just simply vanished from the...
I'm on board.
I'm eagerly anticipating. I wish Sony would bust balls and reveal nothing but an update to the recently revealed logo, and walk offstage to gasps of horror.
When I say I'm ok with it, that is irrespective of the price.....I may or may not buy the proprietary drive at launch, but at any rate, the option is there for gamers to attach their own hard drives to store games on, and transfer them to the series x ssd when needed. As I stated, I'm fine with that solution.
I'm ok with it.
Don't say won't. Just say it shouldn't be....don't know how bad it could get.
LOL. This poor guy.
Doesn't understand the tech in the machine.
@zeref
If we say the xbox is more powerful, fine. The xbox certainly appears to have a fairly significant advantage on paper. To say it's "superior" is questionable at this early stage. We need to see gameplay. You can outrun a 2000 horsepower car in a grocery getter if all that cars power can't be put to the ground effectively, and all it does is spin tires in every gear losing traction, going nowhere. It remains to be seen how developers, both first and third...
