They showed so many games! Something for everybody.
I'm pretty thrilled with what Sony showed....I didn't really expect that many first party titles, especially Spider Man coming holiday 2020. Add Gran Turismo, Ratchet and Clank and Horizon II Forbidden West and that's more than I expected. Throw in Resident Evil 8, Demon's Souls, Hitman III, etc etc....I like.

Here's my thing...we've arrived at a point where both the ps5 and series x, and the games developed for them, should give the gamer the option. You can choose all the visual bells and whistles with a reduction in framerate, or you can choose to limit some of the effects to achieve maximum framerate. There is no reason in 2020 going forward for their not to be a choice.
The ps5 undoubtedly will sell better....the fact is Sony and Nintendo are moving forward with exclusivity to their platforms, while Microsoft is taking a completely different route. I'm thrilled with what I saw from Sony today....lots of games, significant first party reveals, and a uniquely designed console. Good showing, also looking forward to the series x showing in July.

I owned both 360 and ps3 but skipped xbox this gen. I plan to buy both the ps5 and series x when they become available. Sony's exclusives make the ps5 a no doubter for me, and xbox has shown enough for me to want the series x, both in what the console will be capable of, as well as gamepass and the studio acquisitions they've made over the course of the current gen. I'm excited for both consoles.
Epic is on record saying that they rewrote parts of Unreal Engine 5 due to the performance of the ps5's ssd. I would say that's a massive impact before the console even launches. Future tech causing present evolution. This article's writer needs a new day job.
