You can't talk sense to imbeciles....they would prefer to shout and spit into the wind, only listening to like-minded imbeciles, all doing the same, having their own words and saliva bounce off their collective faces. It is typical for their kind.

If you are still calling people "snowflakes" in 2020, odds are that you're a loser. Odds are also good that the "snowflakes", would in reality whup your tail. Facts.
The developers refusing to pander to your type of ignorance upsets you. Take a good long look in the mirror and realize that you are the one who has been bamboozled. You are an entitled infant, who thinks games should be made to satisfy your own personal per...
Somebody's got talent! Dreams really does look like it could contend for goty....it may surprise many people, because it's not made a lot of noise pre-release, but looks like it could make a lot of noise post-release. I've been waiting for this game for years, since I first understood the premise and the promise, but I feel like it's still being overlooked by the community at large. I've seen more than one "most anticipated games of 2020" and Dreams was not on...
I will say this though....I fully expect the new consoles (especially Microsoft with the series X) to bring things that have traditionally been in the pc arena only. It would make sense for Microsoft to allow mods, for example. It would also make sense for Microsoft to enable gamers to choose between playing at a higher framerate, or higher graphical fidelity. I tend to think Microsoft will go this route, I'm less convinced that Sony will, but they might.
@bayareabird
You do realize that CD Projekt has historically developed for pc's first, right? They will not have much work to do to get the pc version of 2077 ready to go for the ps5 and series X. It's not like they have to start from scratch....the build is already there.
@nismo370
I disagree with your assessment. If Cyberpunk 2077 in fact turns out to be a great game, and goty contender as many expect it to be, that is the type of game experience that would sell new consoles and get people who may otherwise wait to buy a new system.
@muzikguy
Me as well. I imagine 2077 is going to have ps4's and xbox one's straining and smoking out trying to keep it running. I'm really looking forward to the Series X and the PS5.
This is an asinine article. Microsoft is going in a direction that shows they are far more interested in moving software, even at the expense of hardware. When Microsoft made the decision to allow their first party games to be available to pc gamers, they chose to do so knowing it would impact hardware sales. They are not expecting the new xbox to outsell the ps5. They chose a different path. Why does this article even exist?
I don't get it....do people think there will be ps5 exclusive games in the first one or two years? That has never been the case...the ps4 didn't get "exclusive" games right away....all the games were made to also function on the ps3. This is the way it has always been. There are simply far too many ps4's in consumers hands to spend the money on developing for the ps5 exclusively....they would be missing out on so many sales it would be preposterous. Why is this even ...
I'm waiting as well, not just because I want to experience it to it's fullest on the best console hardware available, but because my current backlog of games is very long. If I bought it day one on ps4 I don't even know when I would get around to playing it. I'm willing to wait awhile to play it on Series X or PS5.
It will be awesome if it hits 60fps (or above) on the new consoles, with it taking advantage of freesync. I wouldn't mind if it could del...
Also, I think it's pretty likely that one, or even both of the new consoles will have a menu option for gamers to choose whether they want a game to run 4k 60, 4k 30, or at a lower resolution with higher framerate, possibly 120 or above for some games.
Don't know why you're getting disagrees. Unless your tv screen size is 88 inch and up, the difference between 4k and 8k is impossible to see unless you're literally 1.5 to 2 feet from the screen. So if you look at an 8k tv and a 4k tv in store (or at CES), standing right in front of them, you will see a difference. But back in your home, where you probably sit too far from your television as it is, you will see no difference between the two images, assuming you're looking a...
Here's the thing though.....4k for the new consoles won't necessarily be the target, but it's going to be the norm simply because the developers are not developing only for the new consoles, but have to develop to get the games to run 1080 30fps on ps4 xbox one. With that target, the games will run 4k 60fps on the new machines, even if that's not the target...it's just the limitation of the current gen consoles.
4k is all I need in 2020. Maybe by 2025 8k will make sense, but by then I'm sure they'll be pushing 16k or some other resolution. I've got a 77 inch screen and I usually sit about six-seven feet from it. 8k would only make sense for me personally if I were to go up in screen size to 88 inches or more. At my screen size I would have to sit two feet from my screen to see any difference between 4k and 8k, and that's discounting the fact that there isn't even enough 4k HDR...
I cannot argue with TLOU as game of the decade. It's one of my favorites of all time, no question. For me, it's a toss up between TLOU and Mass Effect 2 as my own personal games of the decade.

"Betrayer Moon" coincidentally happens to be my favorite episode from season 1 of The Witcher. This is great news.
lololol
@captaincook
Nearly a billion dollars, eh? Whatever they spend, it will still manage to look (and play) like a last gen title. Facts.
