The Destiny gameplay reveal stunned me, to be honest. Bungie was never known for the graphical fidelity of Halo, but for the seamless and phenomenal multiplayer. So for Destiny to be looking that good, and be open world, is impressive and somewhat surprising to me. I thought Destiny was one of the two most technically impressive games at E3, the other being Ubisoft's The Division. That game looked like straight CG till the camera pulled back and the guy started walking down the street...
The Last Guardian..the game that's so last gen it's next gen.
You're the perfect guy to buy my car. Pay me now, I'll tell you when and where you can drive it. Oh, you have to plug it in every 24 hours and hope it starts, but other than that it's a peach. It runs on bullshit, but you don't seem to have any problem wallowing in the stuff so I think it's the vehicle for you. It's overpriced and the horsepower under the hood doesn't match it's competitor you can get for less money, but who cares? It's a lemon. Enjoy...
You would be sold on a technically inferior console? Really? You're easily sold. You're the perfect consumer from Microsoft's perspective. Me, I see what Sony's first party developers have done this gen with the PS3 and I eagerly anticipate what they have in store for the PS4. You can't argue that 7gb of gddr5 is more capable than 5gb of ddr3. You can't argue that Sony continues to deliver game of the generation contenders like The Last of Us and Beyond:Two Souls...
Achievements for watching TV. They really know how pathetic some people are with their achievement hoarding. The achievements for watching TV is Microsoft letting you know how little they think of you, and how stupid they think you are. What's next? And achievement for turning on your system? How about an achievement for taking a kinect picture? Ah, Microsoft. Leading the way down the toilet of the next gen. Fuck off.
Everything. They won everything. Just by not being evil, greedy, money grubbing bastards. They could have charged more for this console. They didn't. They could have jumped on the DRM bandwagon that Microsoft seems determined to ride over the cliff into fiery destruction, but they didn't. They could have shut their first party studios development for the PS3 down a year ago and had them focus on PS4 only, but instead, we get game of the generation contenders The Last of Us and B...
For you, maybe. For the sane among us, the list would include Watch Dogs, The Division (absolutely stunning), Destiny (I didn't expect it to look that good), and Infamous Second Son. Battlefield 4 looks great, but it's more of the same. And while I'm intrigued by a new star wars game, they showed absolutely nothing, so any excitement should be tempered by the fact that game may not see the light of day until late 2014 (more likely 2015) at the earliest seeing as they just recen...
Hellvaguy, I find it interesting you think their specs are similar when the PS4 has the faster systems operation (the PS4 will run at 1.84 teraflops which is 50 percent faster than the Xbox One) and faster ram. Not only that, 7gb of the faster ram is always available for gaming while "only" 5gb of the Xbox One's slower ram is available for gaming. That is not close. You also compare the online component when anybody who has both live gold and psplus (as I do) knows psplus off...
I agree mrmancs..the PS4 is sleek and angular, like a sports car while the Xbox One is big and blocky, like a dump truck. There is really no comparison design wise. The Sony engineers delivered a technically superior console in a sexy form factor, while Microsoft engineers delivered a less powerful system in an uninspiring box. I don't think the Xbox One looks bad, it's just not nearly as interesting as the PS4. The PS4 is form and function, it's almost artistic, like a sculpt...
I agree captain, this game interests me more than a game like Ryse primarily due to the supernatural aspect.
What does "right" have to do with anything? Microsoft could have avoided this whole situation by not attempting to implement policies unfavorable to gamers. Period. Microsoft made their shitty bed, now they are going to have to lie in it. They will find most nights they will sleep alone.
The Xbox 360 sells well in the U.S. and the U.K. The PS4 dominates in just about every other market. "Asian gamers" as you say, won't care. Especially when the PS4 is more powerful, has the franchises they love, and comes in at substantially less cost. They may not have even heard of Xbox One yet.
This game impressed me. Maybe because I was never a Halo fan and always thought the visuals for Halo were ho-hum. This game looked phenomenal and the gameplay looked intriguing. It's on my list of most wanted for my PS4, no doubt, along with Watch Dogs, The Division, Infamous Second Son, Killzone Shadow Fall, Drive Club (which will be free!). I'm officially excited for the next gen now.
I thought the beginning of the scene was CG until the camera pulled back and every effect, every piece of litter, the smoke effects, the draw distance were all very real and very impressive. Wow, what a presentation. Ubisoft is a fantastic development house. Watch Dogs and The Division? I'm sold. Bungie's Destiny also impressed me, it was far more graphically proficient than I expected for a game with such a large scale.
I bought an Xbox 360 first this gen because they had the games (Gears of War, Mass Effect) that I had to play. I bought a PS3 for MGS4 and Uncharted 2, and I haven't been disappointed in their first party titles since. And that isn't going to change, with The Last of Us and Beyond:Two Souls on the way. PS4 is the choice for those of us who care about our games, and the industry at large. Microsoft has failed their supporters, and I will not be supporting their policies any longer....
You're not lying. I hear too many Microsoft morons touting Titanfall. I'll be busy playing The Last of Us and Beyond:Two Souls shortly. And I'll be anticipating the next gen games from Naughty Dog and Quantic Dream far more than what Respawn is offering. The most impressive games I saw at E3 thus far have been, Destiny, Watch Dogs, The Division (wow), and Infamous Second Son. All available on PS4. I will miss Halo (a little) but little else was shown from Microsoft I have in...
Well done sir.
