Sony won, hands down. Microsoft showed some interesting games, but nothing that made me feel by not buying the system I would be missing out. Developers cannot afford to "boycott" Sony, especially if the PS4 sells well. They would only be hurting themselves. The only "boycott" would be from developers like Respawn whom Microsoft buys out. Sony still has plenty of first party muscle of it's own waiting to crank out classics, much like The Last of Us and Beyond:Two Souls are looking to be.

I believe for Microsoft next gen means the kinect will now red ring, not the console. I can imagine that kinect will fall and start to malfunction on many people, and then their overpriced, underwhelming Xbox One will be as useless. That is, until you buy another kinect. Not to mention this guy seems to forget the obvious...Sony has killer first party developers. Naughty Dog alone should be enough to convince fence sitters to buy a PS4. The Last of Us? Beyond:Two Souls? Quantic Dream anyone? Suckerpunch? Sony Santa Monica? The Order:1886? Sony's conference delivered everything you could want. A more powerful system? Check. Great pricing? Check. The games on PS4 didn't have the wow factor because you've seen most of them already. But I would put Killzone:Shadow Fall and Infamous Second Son up against anything Microsoft trotted out yesterday.
Did you see The Division? My God that game looked stunning. This years Watch Dogs from the same developer. Personally, I though The Division and Destiny were the most technically impressive games I saw yesterday.

Well, the good part is you'll be buying the technically superior console with an unbeatable lineup of first party developers, strong indie content, and a online pay service that more than pays for itself within a few months of ownership. You can't, and never could, say the same for the 360 and live gold, and the Xbone is a dump truck compared to the PS4's Ferrari.

I'm not as upset with the mandatory online Sony is now going to collect because delivering the content on psplus they offer is not cheap. Microsoft has required online for multiplayer for years while offering nothing compared to what Sony offers. Sony has delivered a superior console with great first party development houses at a significantly better price, all while giving us freedom of content.
