It surprising no publisher would give them the backing they needed. The show is HUGE at the moment so even if you had to see it from cold, clear financial point like a bitter old man with a glazed over look in his eyes that drinks scotch and regularly beats his wife, then its a sound investment to make because a Game of Thrones game done right would mean you'd pull in the fantasy lovers, the gamers that love a good RPG, fans of the show and books and people that just enjoy a good game.
Not played MP3 yet, eagerly awaiting the PC version.
But I think it's not fair to point out that he was 'at peace' at the end of MP2. Maybe for a moment he thought he was. But as you also saw in MP2, he was ringing sex lines just to talk to someone because he was lonely. Mona isn't around in MP3, perhaps he can't help but reflect on what might have been, since he was so close to having 'the American Dream'.
It's clear that char...
Some of these were great.
But on the issue itself, every time a huge online game is released, developers should anticipate this. Blizzard are prepared when a new WoW expansion is released, so why not Diablo III? All they did was say "Could you like...NOT login on launch day? Thanks!". They should of been better prepared.
Great score for a great game. I loved Warhawk so I will be getting this sometime in the future, but sadly Diablo 3 is gonna keeping me occupied for awhile.
Still, good on 'em, this game deserves all the praise.
If you play games using a PC, chances are you use Steam.
That 9.5 Million that use Origin? They probably use Steam as well.
Steam was way ahead of its time when it was released and has firmly established itself. EA and other companies can try and take a bit piece of Valve's pie by creating their DD platform, but they'll only get a slither.
Gabe himself said they weren't worried at all at Origin and they'd gladly welcome EA bac...
But it can work in your favour. If things do sell for £1 or upto £5, then you could find a very, very rare item. You decide "I'll RMAH this this then" and you put it on and it sells. Thats £4 on your blizzard account. You can then use that buy stuff from the AH at no loss on money, cause you're earning money from the AH anyway.
But then again, this all depends on how people use it as well. Some gamers will steer clear of it. Some will abuse it...
Doesn't matter. People will continue to buy CoD. They don't even need a trailer, they could just half heartedly say 'yeah, it's coming' and CoD fans will still buy it.
This is because activision have their fans by the balls. You have a group of friends that play regulary. It's a fun social game, easy to play, your mates can sit around and have a laugh on XBL or whatever you play on. All it takes is one or two friends to pop online and say 'we caved...
I remember Blizzard saying that nearly everything can be sold, so isn't the AH gonna be full of crap with people thinking they can make a quick buck or two?
I think Diablo 3 would work very well on consoles. After playing the beta, you could easily put the mouse attack buttons as the triggers, 4 skills mapped to the controllers four bottons and move with the left analogue. I could see it happening.
But hey, Blizzard are looking into it. The only thing console would probably lose is the Auction House using real money. Apart from that, it could be great.
I don't have a copy to play.
Hold on, it's on the DS. I have a DS.
That means I can...uh...that means...I can...urrmmmm...
And this is where I once again drop to my knees, rip and claw at my shirt and cry out in despair:
"I ADMIT IT, I'VE NEVER PLAYED CHRONO TRIGGER!"
My problem with Skyrim is it's the jack of all trades and master of non. Yes, you can learn magic and fight with swords, get on a horse and ride out and do quests and go in dungeons and fight banits and on and on it goes.
On paper that all sounds well and good. In practice it's all rather underwhelming.
I got it for the 360 and hardly came across many bugs. Then again, I put about 20 hours in, max. Cause I got bored. There are games that have better e...
Well no, I'm getting the best out of what my machine can offer. And I'm happy with that because it looked fine. I wasn't sat there wailing going "IT'S NOT THE BEST IT CAN BE, BOO HOO HOO" No, it looks great, why complain?
Also, I'm predominately a console gamer (feel free to look through my comments on this), I just recently hooked up my PC up to a TV to play some PC games.
I just hear people complain that 'I can't play P...
It's a myth that you have to spend a lot of money on an amazing PC to get the best out of it. It's also a myth that the machine will need to upgraded constantly.
My PC is 3 to 4 years old. The only thing I've changed is the RAM and thats it. It played Witcher 2 great. No, it's not all ultra high stuff, but it's mostly high and it looks great.
They could go Godfather Part 2 with this. Show Kratos in gathering his power slowly and then show him abusing and mis-using the power he has.
Of course if the title is anything to go by, it could br Kratos rising above his own destiny of, well, killing everything and going back in time to save his family and therefore, change the future.
"What makes this game different from other shooters is..."
Nothing. Adding a few bells and whistles onto it doesn't mean its gonna be different. Go down a building, jump in a car, the aim of the game is still to point and shoot. Think we've had enough FPS to last us a generation or two.
My apologies, I assumed you were one of those fans moaning because the next game will be set in American. I'm personally just happy to see them finally move on from Ezio/Desmond.
Think it's very cynical to assume the sole reason behind the game is for selling it to Americans. The American Revolution is an important and fascinating part of history.
I do, however, think there are much more interesting periods that it could of been set that we haven't seen much of in gaming, but I do have high hopes of AC3.
I wanna work at Valve....
Woah.
This guy really threw his toys out the pram for this review, didn't he?
Yet to play Max Payne 3 but every gamer, not just self proclaimed journlist, has said how much they loved this game, that the action is addictve and fun and the story is well told.
"Either way you look at it, every level is essentially the same thing: a ridiculous amount of enemies stuffed into a confined area with no strategic way to escape."
