Fair enough, really. Can't argue with his reasoning. The guy wants to work and create. Since Valve have unlimited resources they can pump into games, they can just sit back and take their time. Lord knows when we'll see anything new from Valve in terms of a new game, a new world, a new IP. That's what this guy wants to do.

Whether or not GTA is a trend is debatable.
What is true is that Rockstar release quality products and GTA is no exception. This is why Sam & Dan Houser avoid interviews and getting caught up in the 'celebrity' status a lot of developers can fall into. They both worked on making Rockstar a company that is a seal of quality.

Can't happen. I too wanted a offline mode, I don't why Blizzard couldn't make it so you had characters that was completely offline, no interaction with other characters, no access to auction house.
This is impossble because Blizzard have a part of the game running on their own servers. This means the game is pretty much impossible to crack unless some people were willing to fill in the missing bits.

You do need From Software in there. Demon's Souls and Dark Souls have been two of this gens finest games. No, not perfect but goddamit they tried to break the mould of 'cinematic' and went back to trial and error gaming.

Blizzard were sneaky little buggers regarding it being online. A portion of the game is actually on their servers, which means the game is almost impossible to crack.

It's shame because perhaps we never will be there. Gaming culture has always been predominately young white men that are also quite protective over this 'geek culture'.
