I'd be interested in trying this.
For it to grab the hardcore MMO crowd it needs to be challenging and make players grind. Yes, all MMO's should be about grinding. That is the center of it all. You should have to work hard to get the best gear otherwise everyone has rare stuff which doesn't really make it rare.
SCP-087 should be your next free horror game video.
People say it's because it's not RE anymore.
To be honest, I think there's nothing wrong with a franchise changing direction - as long as they do it well.
I only tried the demo of RE6 but from that I knew I wouldn't purchase it.
The controls were horrible I thought. The imagery and scenery looked awful and the way they slapped this dark grainy atmosphere over it (in Leon's campaign anyway).

I have all the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games on Steam but have never tried them. I really should.
Amnesia id definitely the scariest game I've played in a long time.
I loved playing Black Mesa but it gave me violent diarrhea. Watch this space for my article.
Hmmm. Remember when Greg Miller at IGN did his review for Dead Space 2 and everyone tore him to pieces because it was written too simplistic? I'd say that's the problem. It's not enough to simply have a lot of gaming experience and an open mind, now you need to be a pseudo-intellect and find deeper meaning in things that don't have a deeper meaning.
Ju On:The Grudge is a 15 and that is terrifying. Granted it's subjective, what scares you may not scare me but I've seen many, many horror films and watch them regularly and that one still sticks with me as something terrifying.
It's kind of like the music industry when people say "Aw man I wish I grew up in the 60's/70's/80's it had all the best music" when all we hear from that era was the most popular good stuff.
Same with films and games. You think there wasn't bad films in the 80's? PLEASE!
Same with games. Think back to how much serious crap there has been over the years. It's a lot. I see comments here saying "Aw but all games this g...
I thought true stealth was when that is your only option really because you'll more than likely die if you don't use stealth.
It's just another option in Dishonored which is cool, freedom of choice an all that but odds are if you're trying to be stealthy and fail, you'll easily fight your way out.
Look at the size of new Alyx's mouth!
Actually I think hardcore gamers would more than likely play RE6. That's because I see hardcore gamers that play anything that falls into their lap. They'll try nearly all types and overlook controls and graphics and if and when they finish, decide if it was worth it, memorable or whatever and move on. I know people that play all sorts of stuff I wouldn't go near.
In that respect, I wouldn't consider myself hardcore. I do put a lot of time into games but I am ...
It was because of Resident Evil the term 'survival horror' was coined. Don't try and justify 6 by saying all the other games were action pact. It was a horror with action in there. You never took on waves after waves of enemies. A room with two or three zombies posed a problem. So no, Resident Evil was never just an 'action game with horror elements'.
If they ever made a RE2 remake, just do it like you did with RE on the GC. That was fantastic.
True, marketing is a good thing. But also a very competitive thing as well. It costs money to get your advertisements in places where people will notice.
I'm sure in America one of the most expensive places to put your ad on TV is the adverts during the Superbowl, just like the World Cup as well.
Since we live in an age where advertisement is everywhere, you also have to make sure you ad stands out. What makes this different from the other products there...
Pointless.
Capcom still made they're money on this. Kinda like the Adam Sandler Jack and Jill film that was universally panned by critics but hey, like they care, they got paid.
Same with Capcom. They made money, think they care that Gamespot gave them 4.5/10 or Destructoid gave them a 3/10? Probably me just being cynical but the way I see, they honestly don't care whether you enjoyed it or some reviewer hated it, they got money. That's because this game, to me, lacks any p...
Some of the biggest selling games this generation have been single player games with a multiplayer tacked on.
To name a few big selling SP games:
Uncharted series
Assassins Creed series
Batman Arkham Asylum/City
Mass Effect
Bethesda games (Elder Scrolls, Fallout)
Bioshock
Some R* games (GTA, RDR, Max Payne 3)

Man that could of had some potential. The end fight was a bit meh but the environment and setting looked excellent.
What I think would of made it better is, since there's clearly a lot inspiration been taken from The Thing, is the only way to kill the creatures is fire or blowing them up. They could also of been able kill the player very easily, meaning the best thing you can most of the time is run. You can slow them down for a time with a shotgun blast but they'll k...
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Amnesia was fantastic. I could only handle it in 2 hour bursts because my back hurt from the tension. I even played it in the dark with headphones (as the game suggests) with a single candle nearby for ambiance.
Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is definitely a game I'm excited for and one of my most anticipated for next year.
I am intrigued by this game. It;s also worth noting the game has some interesting names, creatively, attached to the game.
"Arkane Studios founder Raphaël Colantonio and Deus Ex developer Harvey Smith act as the game's creative directors and Deus Ex designer Ricardo Bare acts as Lead Designer. Half Life 2's City 17 designer, visual design director Viktor Antonov and art director Sebastien Mitton lead the art team."
Piques my interest, ...
Nice videos and sound quality. What do you use? Is it all FRAPS? And do you have a really nice mic or soundcard with some other audio software to record it? Just curious as I'd like to do this sort of stuff.
