I've thought Valve as a business have rarely stepped wrong, they've always done very well, possibly to the point where money is hardly an issue thanks to Steam.
But this doesn't feel right to me. Reading Gabe's reveal of it, it's a console. It will compete with the next Sony and MS console. It can't be upgraded. Why do this? There is nothing wrong with consoles, plug and play - hey presto, it's what I love about them. And what I love about PC'...

I do think Demon's Souls was the better game simply because of the experience it first delivered.
Dark Souls is a damn fine game though and I really enjoyed it so I'm excited to see what improvements the sequel will bring.

I think for the sheer amount of time that gone into it as well, it has to be a new engine as well, like Source 2.0 or something. Valve will certainly bring in the next generation if it's done that way.
The amount of time you will spend looking at the box art of this game will the equal to the amount time you will pick up the case to the take disc out and then again once you close the box. So you're really not going spend a whole lot of time staring at it.

It's not a rumor. It's just someones opinion. Yes, there are people out there that won't like the PS3 just as other people won't like other consoles. This really just looks like an article for the all the Sony extremists on N4G, giving them the opportunity for another circle jerk.
Judging by the sheer amount of games coming out next year, I predict 2013 is the last 'HURRAH!' for this generation and we'll see a next gen console in 2014.

I don't really wanna buy it, I was just shocked at how CoD games can stay at these prices. Even online it's ridiculous.

Max Payne 3 - £20

All came out this year. So why does CoD get a free pass on this and MW3 is £45?

If you game specifically on PC and PC only, then it's a waste of money. It's currently £40 on Steam, then you have all the DLC that's around £12 each and you'll get 3 DLC packs so that's an extra £36 on top of that. Then it'll be buggy and hacked and full of exploits and Treyarch won't care because they're already off working on the next BLOPS game. People talk about it because Rockstar San Diego had the Undead Nightmare DLC for RDR which was excellent. It wasn't just a simple 'mode', it was a shorter but new campaign set in a zombie apocalypse and they did it very well. And it was cheap. I would of put Skyrim on there. Bugs aside, I think it gets pretty dull. Dungeons have the same layout, combat grows tiresome, it has an illusion of consequence and NPC's are just boring and forgetful.
