Ok, I'm genuinely curious here. I feel like most Xbox gamers (not necessarily fanboys, just those who owned 360's and experienced the ecosystem) expected Halo, Gears, Fable and Forza on the Xbox One. I still don't understand how Sony is in a bad position. The PS4 will probably be closing in on a million console lead in America after this month over the Xbox One, which is guaranteed to have a poor month, and the PS4 will have between 3-4 million more units sold worldwide. For some people I'm sure it did. For me, when they initially revealed it my mind raced with all of the possible gameplay possibilities and very intriguing narrative possibilities. After having finished the game, I can say it's a very good game that doesn't really deliver on the hype. However, I was able to divorce my expectations from my experience, so I was able to get a really fun, really interesting game that had a decent story with some really cool characters and a fascinating...
So, technically speaking it might not be bullshots, but it's highly unlikely the game will look that good in practice - which for all intents and purposes is the same thing. Whenever screenshots are revealed people are supposed to believe the game will look like that; so if the game only looks as good as the screenshots when you go into a photo mode that's not exactly a selling point...
That being said I'm sure the game will be really good. I'm not into racers...
What the what?
I understand that exclusives are often the biggest reason why somebody chooses a certain console over the other. But, with that being said, this Fall is pretty stacked with quality games. There may, regrettably, no PS4 exclusives you are interested in later this year, but surely there are games that are worth it to you?
Still, I do hope that Sony announced a couple games at E3 to help fill the void even though my wallet is already hurting.
I'd like to see a new IP personally. Very talented studio though, so always interest to hear what they are working on.
It's really odd how many official announcements have been made by Microsoft before E3. I mean, I'm sure they will have some great, new announcements at E3 but it's hard to imagine they have so much content to announce that they are getting major announcements out of the way like Halo, Kinectless Xbox SKU and now Forza Horizon 2.
I will say this, I am anxiously waiting for E3.

After stupidly getting excited that Sony might reacquire the Crash IP (which I suppose IS still in play), I'm going to do my best to keep my expectations and imagination in check. I know Sony will have at least one surprise announcement, and I'd rather attempt to stay away from leaks and rumors so I can be genuinely surprised. It's hard though!
The retail games that I am getting the rest of this year for the PS4 are: Destiny, Alien: Isolation, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Batman: Arkham Knight, Evolve, and Final Fantasy XV (probably not 2014). There are a couple I'm unsure about, like Middle Earth: Shadows of Mordor and Assassin's Creed Unity. I'd wager there are about a dozen indie/smaller games that I'm going to get.

I'm 99% sure this was always slated to be just a timed exclusive for Microsoft. Regardless, I'd be happy to check it out at some point. It looks like a really fun and vibrant shooter, I just don't know how/if microtransactions effect the enjoyment of the game.
I'm glad indies are getting so much love and support now. Don't get me wrong, I love the anticipation for a blockbuster game like Watch_Dogs or Destiny, but I've found indie/smaller games fit in perfectly in between these huge releases and often offer a ton of creative, interesting ideas for a reasonable price. Two of my favorite games I've played so far this year are smaller titles (Child of Light and Transistor).
This is a fantastic game. I'd love to see another developer (or maybe the same group that made this) push the gameplay mechanics even further. I'd like to see a combo/charged attack if you can time your characters attacks properly (like in the Grandia series), as well as more involved puzzles and platforming. I mean, if you make a puzzle/platformer with good exploration and add in a more refined combat system, you could truly have something special.

That would be such a huge mistake. As much as Shenmue is a cult classic, it's not a game that is going to sell a whole lot. Then factor in that the Xbox One has no presence in Japan, and you are counting on American and UK gamers to buy a quirky, niche Japanese game from two console generations ago. I just don't see it.
Controversial video? Really? I think that's a tad much.
Man I'm so pumped for this. I hope for E3 they are able to find a really nice vertical slice of the game that focuses on gameplay, because that's the only major concern with this game. The visuals are the best I've ever seen; the atmosphere, aesthetics and weapons are super interesting; the voice acting seems really good. The story could go either way, but I'm inclined to believe it will be at least pretty good.
Now, for me it's all about the gun mechanics...
