And no game on the Wii U will EVER hit WiiFit numbers. Also, comparing game sales for the 3DS with potential sales for the Wii U is pretty weak man.

Was New Super Mario Bros. U not good enough? Do you really think a $349 Wii U will compete with a $399 PS4? Please, explain to me this logic.

Also, I'd like to point out that ever since the NES Nintendo home consoles sold fewer and fewer consoles. So, while certainly games like Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart 8 (coming sometime next year by the way...) will give the Wii U a boost, please don't just say Mario and Donkey Kong will make the Wii U sell more than PS4, or ...

Unless there is a significant price drop, this is a non-debate.

This game looks really neat, but I do wonder how commercially successful it could be if it doesn't have an actual game as a backbone the same way Little Big Planet was a really fun platformer with a robust creation toolset. If it's purely a game creator out of the box, even being able to play other player creations might not be good enough.

Regardless, I love that dynamic, creative games like this have a chance. Variety is ALWAYS a good thing.

Sounds pretty cool. I was hoping for about 100, but 66 is a significant number for console players.

Also, that whole building fell down. Holy hell!

I don't know that there is an architectural reason Microsoft couldn't change their used game and DRM internet check policies, but at this point it seems like it couldn't happen. Microsoft has already lost the respect and faith from its audience and they would not only look weak for changing (but who really cares?) but more importantly who would trust that they wouldn't try something inauspicious later?

As for Kinect, that's simply impossible. The Xbox One ...

I don't know why people keep bringing this up. Like you said, it's still cheaper than the Xbox One if you do purchase a PlayStation Cam, but most people don't want it! So many people are frustrated that the Kinect is mandatory for the Xbox One, yet it's being used as a reason the price for the X1 is ok. Strange logic.

Ok, let's try to keep one thing in perspective: The Xbox One's library isn't stronger. For all we know every single X1 or PS4 exclusive might massively disappoint us. And while I do agree the X1 had a better showing of games, at the same time Sony has a very diverse game lineup with fantastic indie support.

I mean, I watched both conferences and I agree the games at the Microsoft conference sans indie games looked a little more compelling than Sony's, but it s...

Based purely on the games showed, yeah the Xbox One was stronger; but not by much. At the moment third party titles are the bulk of the exciting games announced. Plus, Sony still might have some games to announce and even if they don't they have a consistent and excellent track record of first party games.

Go to a retailer like GameStop, Walmart or Best Buy and you have the option to buy PSN cards with a fixed amount of cash ($10.$20 and $50) or you can buy a PS+ membership card for 3 months or a year.

I'm very saddened by this. The game is free to play, and potentially you could save money by only buying characters you like. But can you demo characters? How much will they cost?

Oh, Rare isn't actually developing the game? Well, ugh...

Look, I get that there's a chance to save money here. But, as somebody who only casually plays some fighting games, I like to be able to enjoy playing any character I like. Plus, it's one more hoop to jump thr...

It doesn't. Games on the PS4 will function in every way the same as they do on the PS3. Whether it's buying used games, borrowing a game from a friend, playing a single player game. The sad truth is because Microsoft has built in DRM into the Xbox One very clear statements like what Sony said last night are twisted and viewed skeptically.

EA scrapped online passed. I doubt they suddenly bring it back, but who knows. Regardless, if you are a gamer your experience with ...

Destiny is literally an online game. That's completely different. Say you wanted to play Watch Dogs on the Xbox One, you are required to have an internet connection at least every 24 hours. Watch Dogs is a single player game whereas Destiny can only be played online because that is how the game is fundamentally built.

People, publishers have the same ability to implement DRM restrictive policies on the PS4 just like they could on the PS3. Sony didn't lie at the press conference last night, they said that Sony (meaning every first party game) will not have any kind of DRM on their games. Nor will the PS4 have any kind of DRM/mandatory internet check in.

Calm down. Breath. Don't let cynicism born from Microsoft's anti-consumer policies taint Sony.

4634d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

Seems likely. I don't mind in the sense that I don't like third party exclusives - I want gamers to be able to enjoy the games they want. However, I will say that if the Xbox One's less powerful console proves to handicap third party games I wouldn't mind seeing third party games become 2nd party for Sony like Insomniacs games.

Concept looked really interesting, and it's from a great studio. That's enough for me to be interested, but without gameplay it's going to be overshadowed.

Still haven't heard what Naughty Dog is up to :D

I wish I could resist, but I love JRPG's and for some reason I still love Square.

Please don't let me down Square, PLEASE! (They will, won't they?)

It's hard to quantify, but for me the QTE's in Heavy Rain somehow managed to add a nice bit of tension. On paper it sounds terrible, but I found it to be kind of cool. More than understand those that hate the gameplay, however.
