When after paragraph after paragraph complained about the controller, then I reached the sub-head "The PS3 Uses 380 Watts of Power"
Seriously, this is what the console wars have come to? That's one of you reasons for buying one version of a game over another?
Too bad it's usually not who thought of it first, but who actually did it first. It's great and all to sit back and say "oh yeah, we thought of doing that long ago..." but in the end it doesn't matter if you weren't the ones to actually do the work and bring it out. Or, at the least, patent it.
It's not that Halo3 is bad as much as it's just not as good as so many people make it out to be.
I played through it, and I enjoyed it, but I don't consider it to be that great of a game overall. BioShock and CoD4 were both much better FPS titles in numerous ways, and many other titles are on-par with Halo in my opinion. Maybe it's because I never played the first two until just last summer, but I just can't understand why so many people seem to love this game as much as they do.
There's a big difference between a bad tattoo and a bad idea for a tattoo. However, this video shows that the two aren't exclusive...
Interesting idea, I've got a copy preordered (did it back when it was a holiday release...) so I'll definitely pick it up at this point. I was getting a bit worried about it after all these delays and thought about putting that money towards another title, but this definitely makes me second-guess that plan.
I bet by the end of 2009 we'll see a sub $100 BluRay player. One thing that's for sure is that whatever price they are, we'll still see them. That's more than can be said about any of the "competition".
I love the idea that since we only have one format, there is no longer a competition. It's like people forget about the fact that within the BluRay header you have all these competing companies producing players, and all these competing studios releasing movies. Just because they support the format doesn't mean they are in on some pricing scheme to keep the players priced at a certain point.
The only reason the price is still high (although if compared to when it was introduced, it has ...
Someone else who understands my struggle. Friggin quantum physics are always holding me down too...
Glad they're aware and working on a fix, but it sure seems like patches and updates to games are becoming the norm rather than an exception. It's nice that the option is there, but it does make you wonder if the developers are relying on it a bit too much...
As annoying as they may be, fanboys generate traffic, and the sites love them for that. Just look at this site—the stories that get the most hits, attention and high temps are the ones that draw the fanboys out, not necessarily the most interesting or even remotely newsworthy posts.
I agree about achievements having a sway in my purchasing decisions, especially when I'm in one of the challenges for a prize; but it doesn't necessarily mean I buy a mulitplatform game on the 360 based on just that, it just means I'm willing to play a mediocre game that has easy points. I buy the game for the GAME, not for the meaningless crap that gets tossed in. If it makes the game more fun, great. Otherwise...
The thing about this defense is, they are pretty much all points ...
I was thinking the same thing reading through comments over there. Just further proof of how many asshats are on the internet, and backs up a lot of what she says.
Agreed, I couldn't keep copies and backups of the movies I own on DVD/BluRay already, and I've got around 2tb of storage at home. No way would I rely on hard drives to store all that without a way to back it all up.
Until it's basically an on-demand service that the majority of people have access to, digital downloads won't pose a significant threat to the BluRay format. Overall internet speeds would have to increase dramatically, as well as the adoption and availability of hi-sp...
Cool idea. Too bad that switch location would bury it behind the consoles/tv where you couldn't easily reach it on most setups.
PS360 keeps me more than happy. I may get a Wii at some point, but I just haven't seen anything that really excited me on the system. I'm sure if I got one I'd enjoy it, but I'm just too apathetic about it to get that far...
Because their "insider" information is just a bunch of educated guesses, not really revealing anything? They give a few shots in the dark that don't come true, pepper in a few 'well obviously' predictions, and people seem to think they get a few things right so hey, who cares about the stuff that's wrong?
I've taken a break from this, and most of the other gaming sites to actually play games lately. And I've remembered that *playing games*, not rumours and the resulting...
But as I'm getting ready to start one of the Old Spice Challenge sets for a Best Buy gift card, I'm worried that my attitude is about to change. A prize on the line can do strange things to a man's game choices...
Maybe they just said 'screw it' and decided to open up those boxes that were taking up space so the game can take up space on shelves. It's not like too many people are deliriously excited to get their hands on this title.
Have you even played the games?
