The first Titanfall didn't sell that well, Evolve didn't sell that well.
It shows that, even though people don't necessarily finish them, they like the sense of value that a campaign brings to the table.
You can do a crappy story like Battlefield (except the first BFBC which was legit good), but you should do enough that people get the sense that there is one.
I'm more of an action adventure game player myself, and I am interested about Bloodborne, but like Dark Souls, difficulty to crowd control ranged enemies despite the close camera and limited target lock, as well as distance between checkpoints, will be keys in my decision to play it or not.
Not that underrated.
Good combat system but quest design was pretty awful.
I know the article does say "MS exclusive", but the reason why everybody is talking about this is obviously the XBO/PS4 war, and in that context it's not even a true exclusive.
It's on Windows and runs very easily on most computers.
Personally, I love their Windows policy, because it means that I only lose out on a handful of true exclusives if I opt for one of their competitors on the console market, so as a consumer it's even more of a...
By that time the 3rd party catalogue of true next gen titles will have grown significantly (Witcher, Arkham, the Victorian Assassin's Creed which should be a popular setting...) and even though it won't completely make up for the lack of a world class exclusive, it should soften the blow and still offer decent playing options for would-be PS4 owners.
However it's hard to argue that with a new Halo and Tomb Raider (the latter coming off a spectacular critical reviv...
How are they making their mind by buying something they have most likely not been able to try since it's a Day 1 purchase?
Just shows the power of marketing, people can be made to buy anything by plastering the media with commercials.
P*ss poor games like Homefront sold well enough too.
Even the pathetic Black Ops Declassified for the Vita sold very well (for that platform) and its "campaign" lasts 40 minutes with just a few MP maps.
Because exclusives (at least AAA ones) are graphics showcases, they have to look top notch, and 60 FPS games can't look that good.
Top notch graphics sell games, not FPS, so it was a foregone conclusion that it would end like this.
When you see that the Tomb Raider remaster dips into the 40s regularly on PS4, as does The Last of Us, it gives you an idea of the visual sacrifices they'd have to make to make UC4 a 60 FPS game.
At the end of the day, even a 30 FPS game with huge resolution compromises like The Order was hailed as a massive success in terms of graphics and stability.
I hope you can grab ammo without a button press now.
I want "Victory" theme from Battlemaniacs in the game!

Usually, it's around that time you release a trailer celebrating your game's universal critical acclaim... So they had to go with Plan B.
"Internationally acclaimed game developer, publisher, and distributor CI Games"
From the company that brought you Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, Enemy Front and Mortyr III!
Then price it at 40.
Hence why Heavy Rain has an average review score of 8,7.
It has its flaws but it was ambitious and people recognized that.
No conspiracy against The Order.
You don't have to play the game to see that you die in one hit by way of a cutscene. In that case, I don't know what it would change to play it.
Maybe I'll play it I can get someone else's copy.
Otherwise I'm happy Angry Joe shelled the money so that I don't have to.
Not gonna spent 60 on a game that most people think is not good, just to prove they're wrong.
OMG it's the first time I see the instant fail stealth sections that were criticized in previews, and they do look absolutely terrible (18 min 50 s).
Then why are fans giving it roughly equivalent scores to critics?
The truth is anything will sell with marketing.
Pitiful article. "Exclusive!" lol. I don't even know where to start.
The worst thing is the amount of attention this unsubstantiated article written in a completely unprofessional tone has managed to attract on N4G.
Amateur site asked writers for other amateur sites no one cares about, which is why they act all secretive about their "sources". Because they have no connection to corroborate their agenda, other than a few micro sites probably edi...
I think I'll pick Witcher, because the standard edition has some cool stuff in it that makes it special. They have tried to make Day One interesting.
Batman will probably get a bunch of DLC and a GOTY Edition later as usual, so buying Day One really brings nothing.
Please, Infamous was NEVER a big seller. The previous game was a dud. It's not even that great of a series.
In Titanfall, we are talking about a huge game from the makers of COD, hyped as hell by EA, in the most popular genre on the market.
Comparisons with Infamous are absurd.
I never said that it sold bad, but it didn't sell THAT well.
