The dog sucks. It's just like a drone in the previous games, except, well it's a dog. It'd have been more interesting if you didn't control him directly and relied on orders and his AI, or if you had a large environment and he could signal the routines of enemy patrols with his sense of smell.
And the hints of (finally) open design Treyarch introduced to BO2 seem absent instead of accentuated.
It's a bit worrisome, because last year, when Treyarch pitched...

A lousy line-up if there ever was one. It better be a great surprise.

Not surprised in the least. Was sure it'd be a letdown.
From its dystopian Neo Paris (can we please stop having Neo in futuristic city names now?) and slender heroine already seen in many French works to its ultra linear traversal and underpowered melee combat, this game always looked like an average game beefed up with a dash of ponderous philosophy and a couple gameplay gimmicks.

Whatever dude. I own a PS3, I owned a PS1, PS2 and Vita. I also own a 360. I'm on neither side.
I don't care about either brand. Whatever will be best, I will buy.
At least I am not delusional enough to believe that one brand is "nicer" and thinks more highly of me than the other one.
These are companies you are talking about, not your wife.

I don't know what that's supposed to prove.
Xbox One is not always connected either.

But it doesn't mean that PS4 will not force you to be connected once during install in order to tie your purchased game to your PSN account, preventing you from lending it to friends just like Xbox One.

I think a lot of people are in for a shock when Sony reveals its DRM policy, and it turns out to be surprisingly close to that of Xbox One.
I...

Spyro is a pretty simple item collecting platformer, it was introduced in 1998 which is years after the beginning of the PS1, Mario 64 predates it by more than 2 years, so...

What personality?

I think they are just an average dev who struck unexpected gold with Ratchet.
Anything else they have done has lacked character.

Don't understand how so many people think the first one is so great.
Maybe because it was a launch game and is connected to the excitment of the early PS3 days.

Coop was great, you had vehicles and a few zones were slightly open compared to the most corridor like shooters.
But in many places the levels and mission design with formulaic scripting were barely better than games like Medal of Honor Frontline or Call of Duty Big Red One, and the sci-fi prem...

Yeah, well it better be longer than Conviction, given it was very short and they already have most of the gameplay mechanics nailed down.

Do you think it's the first time there are plants in the crowd to help the atmosphere?
I'm sure plenty of E3 conferences have been the same.

Well, what I was thinking is maybe if you run out of batteries, the game lets you get a little bit of extra power by shaking the flashlight if you really have to use it.
It seems that in the demo, they show the character collecting batteries, although I'm not sure if they are for the flashlight.

Does that mean we'll have to collect batteries to durably recharge the flashlight?
I hope not.

And Lair!

Just kidding.

Ubi is a good partner and always ready to throw a bone to manufacturers.
ACIII:L for Vita, Red Steel for Wii, ZombiU for WiiU.

But the real test will be when we leave 360/PS3 behind us, and there wil be less overlap between PS4/Durango games and WiiU games.
If you look at what they did for the Wii, they did release a few decent titles early on, but after they refocused on 360/PS3, they put out a lot of shovelware/casual games on Wii too.

Like they say on YouTube, thumbs up if you're watching this in 2003.

This game obviously had a miserable budget, but hey it has a story, dialogue, somewhat varied mission objective.

It does look even worse than I thought it would, but the devs have done some relatively decent mid budget racers in the past, so who knows its heart may be in the right place.

It's not revolutionary but it would have been aggravating it was not, so it's good to know.

It's a party for Ninty fans when they announce the POSSIBLE release of Deadpool on WiiU. Not a new Fallout, Battlefield or Far Cry. Deadpool. Sad.

Is there any action/adventure game these days that doesn't include item scavenging in every room?
I wish Ellie would pick that crap in my place so I can concentrate on actually crafting stuff, shooting and navigating.
Granted it's not as bad as Bioshock or Rage, but opening 300 drawers and dressers over the course of a game is getting way old.

I like that they at least tried to justify the ammo refills during the scripted sequence where Joel is stu...

I'm pretty sure previous Yakuza games were only released in English, even in mainland Europe.

So either the translation costs are too high even for just English, in which case it could also impact a US version (but I just don't see them not releasing it anywhere in the West at all), or the previous Yakuzas sold very poorly in Europe because they were English-only, and they don't want to bother with an English-only Euro version.

I'm intrigued because it comes from former Starbreeze guys but no MP gives me second thoughts about the budget Beth is giving it.
Looks like they bought this small studio to take care of business with their secondary franchises, and hopefully bank on the couple creative twists they will manage to squeeze in on a modest budget.
