To be fair on Digital Foundry. It's because of them that Microsoft improved backwards compatibility so that most 360 games now run better on the xbox one than they do on the 360.
It was Digital Foundries brutal analysis of Halo Reach that forced Microsoft to improve performance on that and all other backwards compatible games.

Even when MS do something good they get hostility. Especially in the comments. N4G for instance. Say something bad against xbox and you get upvoted, Say something bad against ps4 and you get downvoted.

I've actually seen proper ps4 specific websites less hostile and biased than n4g.
It's a massive improvement on the ps3 controller. I personally think the ps4 controller is ok. I have no problems adjusting to it even though I mostly play xbox.
My only real problem with it is the controller light and battery life. I'm quite sure if they let you turn that light off the battery would last a lot longer.
And over the years I've seen most so called multiplatform sites favouring ps4.
N4G especially is extremely hostile to xbox. So if Gamingbolt does have an xbox bias like you say(never read it so don't know) then it's quite refreshing.

Gambling is only gambling if you can cash out.
You cannot cash out the contents of lootcrates. It is locked to your profile which also cannot be exchanged for real cash as that would be against the T&C's
If you could exchange the loot for real cash or at least trade them with other players then it would have value and would be gambling but you ...
Yeah it's a learning lesson never to promise free DLC again.
I personally would rather have free DLC funded by optional lootboxes than pay for DLC.
But then as they promised the DLC would be free they can't really charge for it so EA are stuck.
Expect the game to get abandoned and receive no DLC at all now.
Except loot boxes are not gambling. You are paying for a box. The box has random loot.
The loot has no real monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real cash. Which means IT IS NOT GAMBLING.
All this whining has basically doomed the game to probably never get any DLC.
If EA promised free DLC then they would have been planning to fund it with microtransactions.

Competition is a good thing. If you think things would be better with a ps4 monopoly then you are delusional. Switch doesn't really compete with xbox or playstation. It's a great console in a class of it's own. But the competition between xbox and Sony keeps both companies on their toes....
You're saying all enhanced games are not good which means what you're say is that all games that are multiplatform are crap?

People actually want Xbox systems too. Seriously fanboys are a disgrace to gaming.
Instead of accepting that all 3 systems, Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox are great in their own right they resort to hating the console they don't own.
The X has super sampling which means 4k games even look better on a 1080P tv. There is also the fact that even non enhanced games run better. More stable framerates and games that used dynamic resolution scaling may run at full 1080P.
From what I've read of the Pro you do actually need a 4k tv to see with benefits on that.
I own an xbox one X too and even I think this article is a load of crap. The base ps4 can do 1080P/30fps pretty well so why should the ps4 pro be gimped?
Developers should continue to get the best they can out of the pro just like they did with original xbox one when it was the machine that often had the lower resolution in multiplatform games.
I know it might feel great to be the one who can say my console is better than yours after enduring it from toxic ps4 fan...

The base ps4 can already do 1080P/30fps. Horizon Zero Dawn looks stunning on my base ps4.
If I owned a pro I would want the developers to get the best possible performance and resolution they can out of it even if it is only checkerboard 4k
