If the stable of first party exclusives weren't so good that excuse wouldn't be circulated. In some cases, that isn't the truth, but in a lot of them it is.
Your comment would be perfectly reasonable if they hadn't already made a PS3 game, that was exclusive, three years ago. So yeah, it is about piss poor development programming on their part.
Kinect will have to have extremely positive word of mouth for it to be successful and right now, especially with the video they released showing all the crap you have to go through to set it up, that's unlikely. The casuals don't want to hassle with their toys, they want them to be ready to go. Ninja Theory needs to put up or shut up. I loved Heavenly Sword but it was tragically short. The Enslaved demo was pretty great in terms of gameplay but the jumping felt like Uncharted, the combat like Jak and Daxter melee. They clearly have a hard-on for Naughty Dog and it's very clear in Enslaved gameplay videos.
I really think it's time for SE to get Wada out and put someone in who cares about the properties and not the money, or destroying the legacy of Squaresoft. At the rate we are going though KH3 will likely be an end of console cycle title, which may be okay since by that time the game would look insane. No they don't. Design choices aren't the reason that western games have been successful, it's the online multiplayer aspect of a very select few games, most of which are FPS' with even fewer exceptions. The fact that Japanese devs want to emulate western designed games is completely ridiculous and it's one of the reasons I was so pleased that Team Ninja basically said "We are making a game that's Japanese, deal with it."

I love ToV as much as the first game but I would have rather they released as one game and included a platinum trophy because it's one of the few PSN/XBLA games that is fairly easy to get 100% trophies/achievements on.
I don't think the author knows much about the durability of BD because compared to DVD's the damn things are practically indestructible. The only reason you should be concerned about leaving a PS3 game in is if it YLOD, but as most people have pointed out, Sony will send a new copy or the original back if sent in for repair. Not bad on Microsofts part, they did a damn fine job of staggering their big releases to keep the numbers up.
Oddly enough I haven't seen a reach commercial since the game came out which I think is strange, or I am just not paying enough attention, but you are right, the commercials are cool as hell. I like the Move commercials to but that's more for Jerry Lambert/Kevin Butler than what it shows.

I'm too old for midnight launches now. I got FFXIII at midnight and by the time I got home I was too tired to play it so I just went to sleep. Good on people that wnat to stand in line and get it early, but I am now of the thought that a game like Halo isn't going to sell out so I'd just as soon wait a few hours. Same thing for pre-ordering, unless it's a really niche title, it's not going anywhere and if it sells out one place, another is sure to have it.
No part of what you wrote actually makes sense. I don't know if you haven't been paying attention but the PS3 and Xbox 360 have a rapidly closing gap. If they win a couple of months in the US, but get outsold in the rest of the world, then they aren't really "winning" anything at all.
Once this game flops, they need to change their name from Ninja Theory to Pass The Buck because that is all they do. If they were having that much trouble getting the game to run good on the PS3 using the UE3 they should have modified the Heavenly Sword engine and used it instead. I'm sure Naughty Dog and Insomniac would give them all the help they need also and it's pretty clear that Ninja Theory is in love with Naughty Dog and the work they do.
