Since when has sold out for weeks been equal to flop?
This is about Move, not the hardware sold for the months which is the number you are pulling out. Sony didn't reveal the numbers for Move in NA yet so calling 300k a joke for Move is kinda retarded on your part since that is not what Move sold.

Until this gen almost all of the visually stunning games that came out came from Japan. Most of them still do and it's sad that you think that FPS' and shooters represent the most stunning games this gen when very few are that at all.
Not really and Western devs are constantly ripping on Japanese games so I don't really see the problem if he was in fact trying to slam western games.
Those are quite possibly the worst examples you could use seeing as MGS4 and COD4 are totally different games, and Quantum Theory was a lazy attempt at making a Japanese version of a Western game to appeal to Western gamers.

@Niceguy It's interesting that people, such as yourself, seem to think that online sales in the UK are somhow indicative of global success while having no idea what pre-order allocations each one has been given. Selling out of pre-orders online is nothing, when stores start selling out then it's a big deal.

I'd like to know where they got their data from because it isn't from Sony, if it was the post would have said as much. I also like how everyone seems to think Kinect is going to do 2x that or more even though it's more expensive, thus making it a tougher pill to swallow at retail. I will wait for Sony's official numbers which will likely be sometime next week since that will have been the first month and NPD isn't doing a public report this week or ever.
This is an advertisement pushing for pre-orders, this is not news and they aren't sold out, you can't sell out your initial stock when there is no initial stock to begin with. WTF, how did this get approved!?

I think they may have been trying to conform a bit to what other shooters do and maybe increasing the popularity of R2. Clearly it pissed everyone off and with this news I'm hoping that they bring back the narration also.
Not only can I not believe that TQCast is putting this up as news but it's basing the entire thing on numbers posted to VGC, numbers that Sony had said GoW3 hit months ago. The real number is likely closer to 4 million at this point so way to fail tqcast.

I don't know why more people don't think it's suspect that news outlets haven'tstarted posting reviews. They have less than a month to launch and if reviews don't start hitting the week before launch then it makes the whole thing suspect.
There is absolutely no way to determine how many places got how many allotments for pre-orders. They could have gotten 100k, 10k, 100, who knows, but an online sell out of pre-orders is not indicative of retail success. Best Buy and Walmart are still taking pre-orders for all versions and they are the two largest retailers for Kinect sales, so when they start saying that they are low or sold out, then it would be appropriate to trumpet Kinect success. Gamestop could be a decent indicator but ...
And all of those games will be out late next year and on-glorious-rails, have fun moving in a straight line whilst making the occasional left or right turn in every single core type game they release.

They may still be gathering numbers because the Move is a peripheral and as such is sold in several different ways or they are waiting for it to have been a full month before they release figures, who knows, but it doesn't really matter in the long run.
