Very expected but it looks like it will be a great game when it comes out. 2022 is already loaded with Playstation Exclusives so this is fine by me. Make it the best game it can be.
@Earl I'm a pretty smart guy. Open your mind and you'll see I'm always making valid points whether you agree with them or not. 😊

Kotick is going to be forced out. No way he stays after this. Too much bad press. Good job, Jim. Maybe they will get a leader that knows how to produce more than one game and the talented developers at their dozen studios can be unshackled from their Call of Duty bondage.
A cynic would say he is just making digs at Nintendo and Sony. Xbox can do backwards emulation easily since every Xbox has basically been a stripped down PC running a variation of windows with direct X but old Nintendo and Sony hardware weren't x86 based and had a variety of unique software environments so emulation is 100 times more difficult if not impossible for certain games.
I didn't feel like looking up sources because it is so obvious. But here is digital Foundry talking about it.
"There are four key components to the xCloud experience: the server blades, the client devices, the controller and the app. The servers are currently third generation iterations, running on custom motherboards but still based on standard Xbox One S silicon. Microsoft has achieved a 30 per cent drop in power consumption by using the Hovis Method - the techni...
Totally false. They are dedicated hardware based on first One S and now Series X hardware.
"Microsoft is running the service on custom server blades using Xbox One S hardware, but the company plans to transition the platform to Xbox Series S/X grade hardware to improve performance down the line. We don’t necessarily know exactly what that means, but a source familiar with Microsoft’s plans tell The Verge it’ll include the speedy solid-state drive in the Xbox Series S/X...
Yes.
Xbox Cloud Gaming uses Xbox One S-based blade servers to pump your games from the cloud. It’s worth noting that although the One S is the least powerful of Microsoft’s previous generation of consoles, the servers employ a few special tricks to improve performance.
For example, power consumption is reduced by 30% server-side with a few minor processor tweaks. Output is also set at 120Hz to reduce input latency on the final device (even if the stream is capped at 60fps).

Not baseless. It's a fact. Do you think they magic the blades out of thin air?
Why not? People loved streaming ps4 games to the Vita and lots of people use the Switch inside their home or office. Also any streaming artifacts would be less noticeable on a small screen.
All of these Xbox Series X streaming blades could have just as easily been made into Xbox series X consoles for core gamers but Microsoft's priority is to get their streaming service to casuals instead.
Who is funding this? An extra year and double the staff for a game that most people have written off as poorly conceived?
However, when exploring in split-screen mode, the minimum resolution drops further. On Series X, the lowest case is around 900p while the Series S equivalent is 648p. Remember, the game is literally rendering two independent scenes at the same time, explaining the drops in pixel count.
648p. My bad.

A new IP! Now that's exciting news. They're a great team but a new IP tends to spawn fresher ideas than existing ones.
Their first (timed) exclusive for one. The Medium.
Have you ever stopped to read some of these so called professional reviews on metacritic? Some of the most poorly written and reasoned drivel on the internet.
Rain World is $4.99. I've been told it's really good.
I was referring specifically to the actual content of the article. They want to make ES6 a decade game like Skyrim. They literally just released new dlc and a remaster for it. Again. And again. And again.
Half the X production is being held back by Microsoft so they can put it in Xcloud servers. It's the same components but they would rather boost their streaming business than supply consoles to core gamers.
Comic book games. 😴
