Nah. There is only one Gran Turismo. The attention to detail is unparalleled. It nails the fun aspect of a sim while cutting out the painful aspects that suck the joy from other sim racers.

EA and Ubi tried that. EA's was basically gobbled up by Game Pass for an ungodly sum of money and Ubi's is irrelevant. You have to own the platform for a sub to get traction. The fact that game pass is a loss leader for Microsoft doesn't help. These publishers can't make money when going up against a company that cares less about money than increasing subscriber counts to impress investors.
Exactly. If he meant a word of that he would have started 15 new studios from the ground up instead of buying an entire publisher.
The mass market always disappoints with their buying decisions. Luckily game creators at Playstation Worldwide Studios are still largely fueled by creativity instead of chasing trends and easy money.

As these items can never leave the Ubisoft interface there is no need for them to be NFTs. They could just as easily be a part of your regular Ubisoft account. Dumb.
For sim fans like myself the fun is in executing a perfect turn, a perfect lap, tuning a vehicle for maximum performance on a specific track and yes, cars.
Because the industry sees us as consumers first and gamers second. I would never pay for a battle pass.

There was probably a surge then a dip after covid lockdowns. All game companies experienced this with their offerings.
