In real world current gen games its more like 540p-1080p 30fps.
It's totally avoidable. There are a million ways to tell a story and a million different personality types and motivations.
I agree with everything but this being a bad year for games. Returnal, Rift Apart, Kena, and Village were all great games.
Switch Online has 32 million members. Nearly double that of Gamepass. I wonder why we don't get daily articles about Switch Online? It comes with game rentals too. 💪
Pretty embarrassing but this is hardly the only GOTY award and certainly one of the least respected.
I don't think you get what I'm saying. I'm saying there will be characters loosely based on the Harry Potter main characters with the same personalities and attributes. The reluctant leader with a destiny, the intelligent troublemaker, the devoted friend, the weaselly Nemesis, etc.
But more like 18 million actual customers.
But Xbox isn't the place to play the games with the most nominations. All but one of the GOTY nominees can be played on PS5. Only 3 of them can be played on Xbox and only one on Switch.
It will probably be like the Star Wars sequels. Every character from the original will have a cookie cutter copy of them with a new name.
@Orchard I'm not necessarily referring to games I've completed more to games I never got around to playing or games that later receive expansions.
Returnal absolutely stomps Metroid. WTF? Do they have a limit in place per platform???
@Orchard by "Same crappy feeling of paying for nothing." I wasn't referring to the content quality. I was referring to what you're left with when that content leaves the service. The better the content the worse the feeling actually.
@My_Name_is_Earl I was a huge fan of Skyrim and Oblivion but this is still a nascent industry and you can't afford to stay still. Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 just felt like more of the same with no effort made to improve the quality of the experience. Even Fromsoft had the humility to bring in George R R Martin to improve and expand their story telling. Skyrim felt like it's script and plot were spit balled by Todd Howard in an afternoon and the combat remained as bare bones as possible....
With the template they have it would be hard for them to screw it up too badly. For me though Kingdom Come Deliverance exceeded Elder Scrolls in every way. Much better writing, combat, and exploration. Actual challenge and reward. It's like the "dark souls" of first person immersive RPGs. I'm waiting for the sequel to that more than ES6.
A decade of re-releases and drip fed content is nothing to be proud of. Skyrim and GTA are perfect examples of how to ruin the legacy of a game.
@UnSelf "other people enjoy this game so I can't" absolute worst example of gamer culture imaginable.
@darthv72 why would I want to pay twice for the same thing? I'm not about to let a corporation worth billions double dip into my pocket.
1000 people who paid for the game? Now that's customer service!
It means nothing to Sony and Nintendo. Forza and Halo have come every year or so for Microsoft and have had no negative effect on either. Just because people are getting to play them slightly cheaper now doesn't change that. Sony and Nintendo have their own big AAA releases.
These guys need to stop trying to have sex with their fellow employees and hit a club for once in their lives.
