grinding to level would kill the franchise. the best part of the original thanks to the relative shortness of the campaign (compared to say Halo or GTA) is that you can continue playing OR start over. I find the first superior to the sequel, judging by the demo, in EVERY way. the new one's graphics are far too toned down, as are character animations and vehicle animations. You can't level agency vehicles anymore?! LAME! imagine leveling the helicopter into a fighter jet with after bur...
first thought is who do Ruffian think they are demanding more memory.. but then they aren't demanding more memory, aren't in a position to, and certainly they aren't Epic's gears of war boys... although they aren't too far from being exclusively tied to a core franchise that IS going places. perhaps specifying how much eDRAM and GPU ram and system ram they need would go a long way to making sure the next console isn't just suited to HD, 3D and Kinect out of the box, bu...
the quote was that he thought it would be cool, as in him as a person, not Microsoft, or Lionhead.
It would be good to see it happen too, but if it is just a thought in his head, add 4-5 years for it to be a reality, AFTER Fable III.
@Seece, please recall Xbox blew BILLIONS until 360 and scamming, despite piracy put the platform into the black. you don't need to work for the company to access public information.
the issue here is that software sells a platform, and service.. not just dumping a clone of Wii motion control based on a EyeToy rip off camera (oddly lacking manual controls with buttons, meaning more R&D and more money wasted on something people don't care about owning), because......
now in all honesty yes it would be great to see BW get rebooted, but not on Xbox. on PC great, but the world wouldn't fit in the tiny amount of ram available on xbox, plus multiplayer. kinectimals wouldn't scale to 1000+ villagers/warriors, forests of trees huts animals etc. best if the enthusiasm was put on low boil and a BW reboot held over to headline the next console. but it is nice of molyneux to register something for us older folk even if nothing is to be made of it.

welcome to selling CES, you sell the base hardware cheap and make money on services and in this case games. Given there aren't any games, what other option is there but to rape the early adopters?
truth of ages
or as was mentioned before, babysitter and boyfriend
silly question, why is it called Milo and Kate? who's kate?
is it what consumers want? if you want motion controls, there's a hardware platform for that already. MS hasn't shown anything that makes Kinect better than what is already out there.
they'd have been better off launching a new console that actually could bring more to the table.
guys try not to forget that 1080p isn't exactly standard yet either. granted a big percentage of the market, some people are still happy with SDTV for games (Wii), TV shows (how many HD channels do you get versus SD?) and movies (so many people refuse to give up DVDs), and freely admit they don't care about HD because they don't see a difference. It'll be a while before those people will bother with 3D, mainly they'll have to be convinced by 3DTV shows and movies.
I miss that game, and wonder why MS has Kinectimals but no Black and White strategy game with villagers.
it isn't even sad that he's a sellout, that happens and he's old enough to need major job security. it could be that he believes so strongly in his game, singular, Fable, that jumping ship and leaving the Fable IP to Microsoft wasn't an option like most other head strong developers who get the corporate shaft job. It is sad if he just wants to keep his management job and doesn't care about the game, or possibility of Lionhead making anything else. If Lionhead doesn't h...
that's not how 'visible minority' works.
planets ranging with Rachni that you have to mop up.. = fun busywork. I wouldn't mind that at all.
also a pity that the Rachni can't control the Reapers with their songs (Kevin Anderson's Seven Suns Saga)
Reapers @ being all high and mighty, they finally notice there are free ranging Rachni again, either they bow down to their living ancestors/progenetors, or they go oh shit that one race we could never really nail down.. and are forced to reg...
As long as they don't Spore up the mini-quests such as to make the game outside of the story unplayable I'm game to complete the saga AND keep playing after the credits role. Pity there isn't bluray to fill with what will undoubtedly be sold as DLC missions to keep the game fresh after the first playthrough.
given the limitation devs would just design their games to run in both configs, book for 2d classic gameplay and horizontal for 3D mini-games. It would be a shame for a huge IP like Brain Age to get relegated over something that silly.
I really get this hole in the heart attitude without having ever bought a nintendo console (someone with kids always already had one, but Wii is just so irrelevent those people now have 360s). I'd have bought Wii if they had more 3rd party support for games like XGRA, classic sim city, sims SW:SF etc.. those games that either don't belong on other platforms or that just aren't hardcore enough to sell well on other platforms.
Maybe Nintendo just focuses too much ...
Wipeout on Sony's PSN was updated to HD and then 3D, didn't make it better. Nintendo really would have to step up their level of dedication for HD or 3D to matter.
if you haven't played Crackdown in a while, do so again for a couple of hours then try the demo. There's just something not quite right about it (even though it is good). It is like a cheap fan service sequel that gets many things right but is obviouly not what everyone is expecting.
