it didn't feel right because it isn't a console game, it is a PC MMO.
hardcore console gamers turn their nose up and this trash.
just watch the game play videos and notice it plays like an MMO, not like Saints, GTA or Crackdown.
Pity.
@nickjkl, that's grand, I'm not knocking KZ3D as a game, in 2D if you showed me both games, as screenshots, I'd have a hard time telling them apart. Since I wasn't at E3 I don't have much else to judge it by... maybe if there were 3D trailers up on gametrailers or IGN...
you buy it to play it, not just look at it, but to look at it to judge it right now, they look the same, regardless of 3D, in terms of quality and presentation. That might change for th...
It isn't fair to compare a multiplatform game that was designed, and always has focused on including huge amounts of HD video. Bluray helps FFXIII, but 360 wasn't designed to support HD video on that level. making it multiplatform crippled that game, imo, because they sacrificed gameplay and story more than putting less focus on cinematics. Had FFXIII been all in-engine the story might be different.. and maybe a bit uglier.
Same BS applies to Mass Effect. That gam...
Fable caters to kiddies, I'll play this.
>.> KZ2 KZ3 do look the same. PS3 isn't up to pushing those games like it should, or Crysis for that matter. time for PS4 and a next generation Nvidia GPU for faster frame rates better draw distance and even higher resolution textures when dealing with 3D games.
I agree with the other 4, but for now, Enslaved looks like the runt of the litter, only because it hardly feels like they are trying to make the world appealing. The characters and weapons look so generic and low res compared to Heavenly Sword.
it might automatically pause or reduce the volume if it hears someone start talking? good question though.
which ones, for the most part all of them have the person who needs to be doing something getting up off the couch to be the center of focus. Beyond that I find it retarded that voice recognition based games would need the player who's turn it is to get up, OR that you'd need to take a turn at all.. some games should have all the players talking at the same time (to be first with an answer for example), since there are no buttons and the camera might be equally confused with people ge...
Pricing is going to work itself out after all the nut jobs buy it before Xmas and it gets cheaper for the rest of us. Frankly you needn't consider the thing until there are proper AAA games announced.. like Geometry Wars (which sadly isn't going to happen).
Right now though, my ass isn't getting up to play no stinking Barbies Horse Adventure OR Star Wars Adventures on Naboo.
100% agree with instant fail.
I was so hoping it was bad marketing to have only standing demos, but that also means people without the use of there legs are getting shafted by Microsoft! and people who are too fat (which I also haven't seen using Kinect.. hmmm.. I wonder what other limitations there are that are being kept from us.
Depends on the platform doesn't it? AAA disc based versus PSN? and if Sony is publishing the game or not? (so that they can set pricing or just argue for their cut, which is payed by the consumer anyway?)
You can bet there will be premium priced Move titles and many of us will be happy to pay the premium to have games worth playing, like Sorcery... and unlike that BS Star Wars game on Kinect that would be gathering dust on the shelf at 19.99.
Come to ...
IIRC MS hasn't Priced Kinect for retail,, officially anyway. something like 200USD for the motorized one wouldn't be out of the question since MS isn't making money on hand controllers like Move and Wii Motion Plus.
Now on the other hand.. I'd LOVE to have MS announce such devices before xmas. Some games just NEED buttons and feedback, and not just because Kevin Butler said so, it is just true.
That and after the Catastrophe that was Sky...
seriously the funniest part of the conference was the price was announced for 1 move controller, and people doing the math that it would be over $150 for two of them as required by some games + the navigation stick. Funny they don't bundle the 3 units together in a party pack or something.
Sony: We cloned Wii motion plus and tweaked it, now pay us twice as much for it! bwahaha
creatively ruining lives and careers while making themselves ridiculously rich, then squandering that empire. tsk tsk
they had me at FLY through the world. :3
nevermind that, they must be making enough money to make a new game. I doubt MS would give them free money to get started on something else that can't return anything to them within the next couple of years.
And how good will it be in 5 years?
remember that this was supposed to be a PC game falling short of dx11.. for it to make an impact it'll have to aim even farther than that. Might not even be on '360' if it gets delayed over and over.
Naturally.
so what you've mentioned is some people might enjoy puttering around in a menu at making things because they are creative.. yay
what about people who yearn for game play that bests GTA, Crackdown, Saints?
