I think the problem is not that people enjoy the game, it is that so many people play it and publishers believe that there is some secret formula to get that number of gamers for any genre. Which is not possible. They just see the numbers and think that there are that many gamers not buying their gaqme so there must be something wrong with their game and not just that you have a different demographic of people. It is like the NHL saying "we need to get people to like hockey as much as t...

Your thinking of cinderblocks, which are made of concrete, but I think their name is based on the old way they were formed and hardened with fire. Cinder usually refers cinders from left over fire.

my wife sourced mine by looking at best buy and futureshop and other places everyday. you may get lucky. the online stock updates pretty quickly, and you can reserve in store for a couple of hours.

The problem too is that there is no tangible item to show for the money. The micro transactions are digital. You can soon lose track of what was purchased. Also credit card companies look at purchases that seem unreasonable and call you. My mother in law got a call last week when she bought some stuff from a site she doesn't usually use.

Parents need to educate themselves on what their kids can do no question. but these developers need to not make micro transactions so en...

A good article. I have a huge backlog that spans ps3, vita, wii u, wii, a couple for 360 that I got for games with gold, ps2, and PC. I have chipped two off my ps4 this week. I have no real interest in 100% most games as I do not have the time between work, family and sleep. I play a game for the experiences, if the side quest or collectible unlocks some lore or mystery I do it. If it is just some item, I tend not to worry.

While I agree in the context that it has a physical disc, the idea of the game being released seperate from mgsv coincides with the plague of releasing games unfinished or cut from. Then people pay extra for what should have been in game. If they said that mgsV was going to include ground zeroes on release day for 60$ then I would look at the early release of ground zeroes really as a sneak peak. Right now I see it as one game being cut into two and smaller portion being charged up to 60% for...

I have not bought any DLC. Ever. I will not buy ground zeroes. Dlc in the form of what we have seen with the last of us may be an exception as to me it falls under what games used to do by releasing expansion packs, i still haven't decided. after this i am more torn. For the people who support DLC this is what will come of it.

Certainly. I feel that medium usually is found among genres. Some gamers go crazy for RPGs or shooters. I myself try everything.

The only games I don't play don't have a story, but there are exceptions to games like metroid or mario kart for giggles..I still try stuff and I know what is going on in the industry, but to me racing games are pointless. Any game that can go on forever can just become a waste of time. Mmorpgs can become a second job. But if people play on...

A casual gamer sees a friend playing a couple of cool games, maybe a interesting game advertised, and wants to join in. These games can be a simple a la wii sports/tablet games or more intensive like Call of Duty.

The casual gamer doesn't care about game culture. They are often not out to find anything interesting besides the obvious. Games like Beyond 2 Souls would not appeal to a casual gamer as easily because they see gaming as just another entertainment medium.

when the wii came out in 2006 cell phones did not have the games they had today. Iphone changed all that. But it gave casuals gamers that glimpse for 3 years when the iphone became global and more affordable.

So no, the casuals have moved on, not simply become more enthralled.
If casuals were to be brought back, it would need to incorporate their phone, because half of them can't put it down to watch a movie anyway.

Secondly Playstation Now will b...

Oh I probably got well over 40 hours from mgs3 snake eater and the subsistence. But the ratio will very well be 1/3 the game for 2/3 of the price. Ps2 games in Canada were 60 bucks because of the low canadian dollar. Plus sales tax in New Brunswick at 15% I would pay 80 for the game. With the can and u.s dollars much closer in the ps3 generation games were the same. At least how I remember it.

Yes but I paid 60 for mgs3 for the 6-7 hours. Should I pay 40 for 1/3 the game.

Yea but people should read. Like the clown who bought the picture of Xbox one. He even admitted it said picture. But his reading comprehension was the equivalent of a 6 year old. If you just look at a title and don't think who wrote this, that is not the authors fault.

Buy using drm in imbalanced ways is very anti consumer. To take a product and that usually allowed the consumer to have a great amount of control over and proceed to limit it is anti consumer. For instance if I buy a ford vehicle I can alter it. But the game companies have tried making altering a purchased games console illegal. They haven't succeeded but they very much want as much control as possible.

The game is awesome. I have not been more terrified or on the edge of my seat since i played Silent Hill as a 12 year old.

When i played Silent hill 3 My stereo started to turn the volume up. I thought it was me sitting on the remote, but when i checked it was on the desk. I kept playing and the volume would periodically go up and down. I had to stop it was getting too messed up. The receiver never did anything like that again.
The hairs on my body were constantly up...

I am not sure you understand what an option is. I kept my PS3. I also have a PS2 so i do not need to purchase my library again.but with Now I will have the option to play ps3 games i do not own without actually paying full price.
While i Agree with some of what you said, viewing Playstaion Now as a detriment instead of a service to play games you may not have played before is very shortsighted.

Edit: I think PSNOW will be free with no added cost to PSPLUS but the free...
