The problem is not asking could a protagonist in an up and coming game be female, but trying to criticize developers for already established male protagonists.

The other problem is being overly critical of a female protagonists flaws. As if because she is a female she doesn't fall in love and be weakened by that love. every person in the world has strengths and weaknesses and so should protagonists. If there is a trope in there well Yea maybe mention it but do not be al...

I would have preferred Don Draper as creative director. He would do E3 with a Canadian club in his hand.

All digital means yoy have nothing but a license to use 1's and 0's. Physical? I would like them to come to my house and pry the game from my cold dead hand.

Unless of course they implement a system where a license issue has happened and a judge orders all copies destroyed that haven't sold and any other disc used will be flagged and not allowed to play anymore. Which is where I see things heading.

It would be like going back to olden times where we had to pay a dime to flush a toilet. Except in mobile it will be a virtual toilet.

Depends on how used. i have not had a rrod on my launch xbox which was sold after 4 years (after that i do not know) and got a xbox slim in 2011 which still goes and is quiet. My phat 60gb ps3 still runs awesome. i just blow the fan out every now and then as i know it is the loudest one. my ps4 and xbox one give me plenty of love. The only system i have had ever fail on my was the disc drive of my phat ps2. I repaired it myself once, and accidentally broke it when i tried the second time. <...

If you find that graphics are so important to you, why do game on console? I am not talking about those who may comment that something doesn't look as sharp or crisp, I am talking about people who get angry over it and piss on the game.

It is a video game people, a video game. Consoles have limitations. When a developer starts a game full of ambition and shows us a great looking picture, but later on that ambition means a minor drop in detail, and i mean minor, should you...

My response to their quality standards statement would be "so you admit you have low standards? because you know that is what we are discussing?" or "saying your standards are high when your product says otherwise tells me your pr company is also low standard"

Lol

yea but if they didn't want it leaked they could have not changed anything till later. why change details of a website when he is still making it? For goodness sakes it is like some other executive had it out for Kojima

Yea there used to be demo discs packaged with gaming magazines. but with the internet making it so easy to see how a game plays those were no longer needed. so those discs went and now we do not even have game magazines anymore ( i do not say that definitively but as a general comparison of then and now)

A victim of the times we can be sometimes. Sometimes the savviest consumers do not see the forest through the trees until it is too late.

sure they do... but those rights are not necessarily right.... and rights are subjective. for instance in america black people had the human right to sit at the front of the bus, but they did not have the "legal" right.

your attitude would change if you spent 60$ plus DLC for a game only for a license issue that wasn't properly resolved a year later removed it from the store.

edit: oh i know this is a demo but games you have spent money on cou...

in this case... but what next?

I have never thought of it like you said. I love those games and while playing xenosaga i kept thinking they were prequels even though they weren't put out by square. and while looking them up on net and seeing those statements i was disappointed. But from your comment it just clicked and made more sense.

the book they based the games off of is called xenogears perfect works. square probably had the rights to call the game xenogears but not necessarily the material.

If consoles have skipped backwards compatibility in order to market the few remakes, i find it slightly disingenuous.

there is no real technical reason why we couldn't have xbone play 360 games or even OGxbox. same for ps4 with ps2 and ps1 games. the ff7 ps4 release is ridiculous. pretty much guarantees the system will never read those old discs.

Uh guys in my third or fourth sentence I said " if they Co-develop a new series it's fine". so my problem wouldn't be if square Enix made a game called "total destruction" or whatever exclusive for Xbox. But if they do what they did with tomb raider. They want somethING to compete with uncharted. So instead of creating a game in the genre they simply buy tomb raider exclusivity it just seems so risk adverse when ms has the most cash to take the risks. Sony does it...

I try not to be a fanboy I really try.. I own all systems.. but I can't stand it when Microsoft instead of building their own games deprives others by buying already established franchises. It does nothing to help the industry. If they actually Co developed a new series with a company fine but to just pay for exclusivity is lazy
