I hear XIII-2 was good but I have yet to play past the confusing intro. I wish SE would make sequels more like FF4: The After Years.
The real question for me right now is: 360 or PS3? I couldn't quite tell which was better.
You'd still be paying more for a bundle if that will even exist since GZ is separate.
They're both my favorite characters from their respective Final Fantasy games.
I'm not sure why anyone dislikes turn-based combat either. Doesn't everyone play Pokemon at the very least least?
This one seems especially replayable with all the random placement of soldiers and the big camp omega to explore.
But you're right, people who aren't into Metal Gear would be less likely to play through it more than once.
@zerocrossing Still, companies have been doing these kind of things and not buying Ground Zeroes won't affect it really. Only if something is as big of a deal as say.. the Xbox One fiasco does something get changed by the outcry of gamers. Maybe I just don't care since I just want this game so bad and just want it to release already. This and watchdogs are the only games I have to look forward to for months really. I'm a gamer of limited interest, unfortunately.
I'm against that stance since this GZ release is not anti-consumer other than it's higher pricing for physical and next gen copies. As I wrote in this blog, this earlier release is for the fans. I don't understand why N4G is so against it on principle and I find the arguments against GZ to be silly. There are many other releases worth protesting and this is not one of them. And honestly, the entire industry has changed since the Tanker mission was released for free with a demo dis...
I hear this game is frustrating to play, but it seems so interesting that I couldn't possibly pass it up.
Thanks for the response. You have quite a lot of bubbles there. (I always say stuff that disagrees with most people so that's probably why I don't get bubble ups.)
I hope there's a PC version, but Japanese developers rarely support PC. MGR:R is one of those rare exceptions lately, yet I really hope it's a trend with Konami.
This is a bit sad because it seems to be really good in every aspect except price. I don't see how people would resort to skipping the game altogether, but I can see why they aren't getting it day 1. Although, 20 isn't a bad price (for a digital copy of the 360 or PS3 version).
Those are bad boss battles?
Is it taboo to ask for approvals? Where are the mods/whoever approves these things?
Well, the options were: wait a long ass time for the whole thing or split a tiny portion of the game to offer earlier. For like a small, infinitely replayable Metal Gear game at 20 dollars digital on 360/PS3... I like what choice they made. You don't like the price? Wait for it to appear cheaper used or whatever the hell. Rent it or something. Now, since everyone commenting on N4G is rampantly against the decision... it affects nothing because N4G represents a minority of gamers that scou...
Without the kotaku article about the gameinformer article, there would be no outrage, so I'd say that's a ruckus over nothing. We basically knew all this info before.
Holy crap. Who convinced everyone on N4G that there was going to be a TPP bundle with GZ included for free? Does anyone check facts anymore?
That's because Kotaku created a ruckus about nothing like they always do.
It's 30 for 360 or PS3 if you want a physical copy of it, but it's only 20 for 360 or PS3 if you only need a digital copy.
I don't have a PS4 yet though. I think I'll get it around like December 2014. For now, I think I'll go with the ps3 version since I actually like the ps3 controller more.
