Aside from pricing, I enjoy the gesture that they feel like they want to give us something to have to play before the main game releases.
It seems like they might try porting it to PC. There have been at least 2 hints at it by SE.
I'm so hoping it's late 2014. It's unlikely, but I'm still hoping for it.
At the very least, it seems like a possibility especially considering that SE is more dedicated to PC than most other Japanese video game companies.
I'd like a good gaming PC, but only if someone scouted out the best build and assembled it for me.
I was going to get a better PC first, but I'm such a lazy person, and finding the best price for parts and putting together a PC seems awful for a lazy person like me. So I guess I'm getting a Wii U ASAP. Can't wait for the next Smash Bros. game.
IDK, if XV is good and there's buzz about it maybe. I don't think releasing any of the XIII games on PC will help that much.
@kalkano The only traditionally turn-based series I see trying action is Final Fantasy, and it doesn't need to, but it's not a problem either. The gameplay seems pretty fun from the trailers. The plot seems intriguing as well.
Bravely Default looks really pretty, but it also seems a bit over-the-top. At least it doesn't seem to take itself THAT seriously.
@kalkano I think it's absolutely stupid how mad you are about this next one being an action-RPG, and I also think it's absolutely stupid how you think the most important thing about Final Fantasy is it's battle gameplay. It is not the most important thing about the series.
I think I'd like the remake to be true to the original. Like, same angles and no 3rd person camera or anything. Just enhanced a lot.
I want them to keep making turn-based main entries, but the main appeal of the games is not that they're turn-based, and if you really think it's the main appeal of the series, you're playing for the wrong reasons.
I HIGHLY doubt this is true. Isn't the XBO not even out in Japan? And what's the particular interest in the term JRPG? Are RPGs particularly worse/better/different when they're made by a Japanese company? I miss when people just called them all RPGs.
I had it on Vita and the glitches ruin it for me. The file corrupted because I exited the game when a loading icon was on (which is easy to do on Vita), and there were numerous animation glitches. I really enjoyed it, but it was poorly put together. If the makers of Assassin's Creed need to improve anything, it's the polish of their games.
I'm fine with SE doing sequels in between, but would it kill them to only make straightforward sequels with good story?
Every FF game is vastly different from the last so there's never much reason to give up on the series entirely. Even if there's like 4 FF games in a row you don't like, the next one could very well be one you greatly enjoy. Although it's also true that if you're a fan of the older games to an extreme degree, each title moves further and further from those.
XII intimidated me. It started out seeming like a typical linear FF game, but then it's like: here, you're in a town now. Do stuff. It threw me off because it was a Final Fantasy title.
It seems like a good game. I'd be really surprised if it was bad. Although, XIII did let me down at least in terms of gameplay and that looked pretty good until it came out.
I don't mind if she's like in a secret side mission or some shit. I wouldn't want her like a part of the plot or anything though.
You'll be missing out on GZ then.
