That's the idea though. The camera doesn't pan out because they want to emphasize that your position on the battlefield matters. It is less you having this all powerful third person view, and more your limitations are those of your character. She is physically weaker, so you can't just power through defenses and charge enemies. She wouldn't be able to see enemies in a 360 circle extending out 50 feet in all directions, so you can't. They are trying to draw you into the exp...

Metroidvania is a severely underappreciated genre. Playing the games that give the name are a must if you haven't. Symphony of the Night and the Castlevania DS titles are some of my favorite games.

The number of useless comments on articles is bound to increase ten fold. At least everybody who feels the need to start and contribute to a flame war over Xbox vs PS4 in every article will get something extra out of it now.

Better than Arkham Knight, really. It seems to be the forgotten Batman game though since it isn't technically part of the Arkham trilogy.

Onechanbara Z2: Chaos really is pretty okay. It's an arcade like 3D beat-em-up that has you skillfully taking down various enemies with multiple characters bearing unique skill sets. The story is lame and the characters are kind of dumb, but gameplay wise it feels like a game that leapt out of arcade, from stage construction to enemies to combat, and even the way the story is told and stages are graded.

Fan service is definitely a huge part of the visual presentation, b...

Welcome to a week ago when Sony introduced their "Best of PS3" sale. I guess a week is better late than never, but I feel like most people are aware and have taken advantage already if applicable (like me).

I pre-ordered the PS4 version, though the current Amazon page feels very placeholder. It didn't even show up when I searched "dragon quest builders" until I searched the title exactly like the listing. It also didn't have the Prime discount listed. May have to re-pre-order once the listing is more complete, or just have customer service fix the price.

After Transformers: Devastation did a Transformers action game so well, giving transformations, combat, freedom, and a Transformers story and telling that felt straight from the old cartoons, it's disappointing that TMNT couldn't turn out to have the same magic. I was looking forward to this one considering it seemed like Platinum had the chops to do it some justice, but it looks like they couldn't quite figure out how to balance more allies consistently battling at the same time ...

I personally think IX is the strongest FF title with the best fantasy setting, well written characters, and managing to keep turn based fun and relevant despite coming out at a time where you had a hard time finding an RPG that wasn't piggybacking off a system that had been in use since the 80s. It didn't feel grindy, exploring was fun, and side quests were fun and generally worthwhile.

That said, VI has the strongest story and best villain of the series. It managed...

Dragon Slayer Armor was so easy. I'm not even that good at these games, and I took him out in one shot. I would argue the three hardest bosses in the game are:

1) Prince Lothric and his brother
2) Nameless King
3) Pontiff Sulyvahn

It looks like they edited out Towerfall. Reading it, I think they took a suggestion from one of the comments on the site and replaced it with The Evil Within.

The fact that both God Eater games and the latest Tales were confirmed, I can safely say that Bamco has made the nice list this year.

I honestly wouldn't put this a couple years out. With decent hardware and windowed, you can actually get in the neighborhood of about 20 - 25 FPS fairly consistently, as I saw on another video using the same build. This is two months of progress too from initial release playing nothing to now booting and playing Mario Kart 8 with about 95% correct textures. Booting to nothing to booting and playing a high profile commercial game in two months is stellar.

At this point it&...

Emulators are just a natural part of the progression of gaming. As long as they aren't being sold, generally they aren't doing much wrong legally, especially if they can avoid packaging any official system files in with the emulator package (ex: finding certain files on your own), they're pretty much entirely safe.

As it stands, the Wii was cracked wide open on both a hardware and software level long before the system died. It doesn't mean that Dolphin disappe...

@DarkOcelet

Read the interview a little. They flat out said that all the content will not fit in a single release. This isn't a trilogy like FFXIII, but an episodic title like Life is Strange.

We can thank Nomura being obsessive over expansive details. IIRC, this is how he wanted to handle Versus XIII, and it's one of the major reasons he was booted from the project as it transitioned into being FF XV.

Ha, I get what they're doing. Sell about 50k copies because of this competition, and the prize pool is basically paid for.

Way to completely and utterly miss the point of my comment. You're an inspiration.

It's like people aren't familiar with the fact that a lot of people will start a game, realize they don't feel like or don't have the time to really play it, save, and leave it for awhile. Not everybody pours five or six straight hours into a new game once they get it. Some of us just get distracted too. Either way, there are a lot of reasons someone may only play the first 30 minutes of a game and just sort of drop it for awhile.

I'm not interested for one very important reason: I would in no way benefit from having this controller. It won't make people magically not suck at games. If anything, I would suck more while figuring out how to effectively use the new inputs. The price of the controller alone is as much as about 50% of a PS4 or Xbox One this holiday, which is god damn absurd for a slightly higher build quality and a bit of variance.

Yeah, I'm sure it's a good controller. The ...
