wut. You act like women never played games and that they are just slowly entering the world. Tons of women openly chat about playing games without any fuss. Drawing attention to it like it's a controversy is what makes this an issue. The gaming world has been acclimating fine over the past decade as online gaming has more thoroughly exposed the diversity of the gaming population, and we don't need article after article stating as such. It really is just the SJW population that use sex...
That's nostalgia. Pure and simple. VI undeniably has a better story and a stronger villain. VII just had a bigger impact on the series as the first 3D title. I think of VI like IX. Both came out too late on their respective systems and were overlooked despite being some of the best experiences Final Fantasy can offer, while VII on the PSI and X on the PS2 continue to resonate as some of the most acclaimed titles due more to good release timing than necessarily being timeless or industry a...
I read this article earlier today, and the author really, really oversells how much Dragon Quest XI, while being released on two other platforms simultaneously, will impact the Switch. I mean, it might sell some systems, but that's only if the game releases on all three platforms at the same time. The Switch is going to be depending on far more factors than a single game to define its success.
I'm sure those jiggle physics will be on a whole new level as the shallow gameplay and story transfer without much change to the PS4.
They probably just mislabeled an item or two. I see God Eater 2 digital PC for $20 but still $60 digital on PS4.
I'm guessing combat will still be turn based, but that there won't be battle transitions anymore. Instead it's likely that running into an enemy causes your party and their party to fan out, battle happens, ends, and your party consolidates back to just the MC visible and you continue on without waiting for transitions and loading. Dragon Quest is the most traditional big name JRPG left, and I'm positive this one won't be swayed by ARPG titles in any way besides axing rand...
But...but...FFXV is a pretty good game...
The problem with the mobile market is the fact that anybody can publish anything on widely viewed stores with no process to weed out the pure junk. It's why while major gaming platforms like Playstation and Xbox get their share of crap games, the volume isn't infinitely expanding like it is on the mobile marketplace. This means that there is a very reasonable desire to try before you buy on the iOS App Store and Android Play Store, and for developers to give their games a fair chance ...
Too much is demanded for too little content. Look at the Rayman mobile titles, both at pricepoint and content, and you see where Super Mario Run fell short. When I beat the first three levels in a four level world in all of five minutes, I should have known the game wouldn't last. I purchased with hesitance, got a couple hours out of it, and haven't opened the app since because I have nothing left to do. People aren't opposed to a one time payment. They're opposed to paying a ...
Eh, I expected disagrees when I walked in and saw this was effectively an anti-mobile circlejerk. It's abundantly clear most of the people who commented have absolutely no idea how or why the mobile gaming market functions as it does when considering the volume of games and distribution of content. And comparing Super Mario Run and Temple Run is very appropriate. If you want a comparison that makes Super Mario Run look even worse, just look at the Rayman titles. Very similar games with mo...
1. The game is barely an hour long if you really push it. Kingdom building yields no actual reward which makes Toad Rally a relatively worthless mode, which effectively killed replay value in the main game. The entire experience is an interconnected failure.
2. $10 is a lot for a mobile game for a lot of people. The most I've spent on plenty of games that offered WAAAAAAYYY more content is a dollar or two to remove ads. That has built the idea that a game should be eith...
To be fair, the Toybox was made out of a relatively early development version of the game, evidenced by the slightly loose controls and rudimentary textures. The recent previews from pieces of what will be the final game give a much better idea of how the whole thing will be.
A bit late for a Toybox demo impression considering the large number of backers thoroughly documented the whole thing months ago, but I do agree that, considering it is basically just an alpha build of a test area, it already impresses and makes me want the final game that much more.
A breakdown:
30 characters from gaming participated in Secret Santa
All the gifts listed were given by one of the other 30 listed characters
Based on the list of characters and the item they received, you are supposed to guess who a given character's Secret Santa was from among the other 29 participants
So if you believe Adam's Secret Santa was Doll, you would put your answer as:
1. Doll
Each correct answer get...
This looks like a lot of work. I'm going to give it a go this weekend. Once I get through the ones I know, it should help with process of elimination and a bit of research for the ones I don't.
A smart move to try to pull people into their brick and mortar stores with the hope of grabbing a free console to put under the tree. I mean, it won't get me going into Gamestop anytime soon, but a smart move, still.
As much as I love my Vita, I've been waiting for a memory card price drop forever. I'm just going to give in and spend the $100 on a high capacity card at some point and accept my fate as a Vita owner. I would argue the Vita can be considered a better value than the Wii U for the price, at least. The Vita has a surprisingly solid selection of third party content and earlier first party titles, while the Wii U is mostly the standard first party affair with a couple of true standouts li...
It can be nice to have an account for all the major regions just in case. You never know when a sale will be genuinely good in another region even after currency conversions, or when a game may not find its way out of Japan for silly reasons but is still perfectly playable even without Japanese language skills.
That's the nostalgia talking. CoD4 had a lot of issues back in the day. Grenades were ridiculous, noobtubes gained their mass popularity, and camping was awful on many maps because that's what happens when you offer a weapon that can scope a long distance. Let's not even mention the abused map bugs like bounces and walking through boundary holes to get to places players weren't meant to have access. Coming back to CoD4, it was a lot of nostalgia and a lot of acceptance that al...
The NES Classic UI can only display up to 60 titles, so it's a far cry from every game, but you can at least get all of your favorites.
