The idea that that people are "trying" to make them look bad is silly. They're doing that to themselves.

It looks like a fairly slow paced game where there would be a good amount of time to start loading assets. Their PR does seem odd and might be disingenuous.
I did check though and the PS4 version is not launching at the same time as the PS5 and Series X|S versions and they've been claiming for a while that the game was not made with last gen in mind.

IGN is deviating a lot from most reviews of this game.
You might be right that they make Peter Venom, especially if Venom is playable. Would be a great misdirect.
I would like the symbiote to start talking to Peter at some point even if he's not Venom.
I wonder if both Harry and Peter have a connection to the symbiote throughout the plot since it is attached to Harry first. It would be crazy if they were somewhat sharing it.

The Digital PS5 ($400) is better value than the 1TB Series S ($350).
You're losing a lot for $50. The S versions of games often have big cutbacks because it's much less powerful than the PS5/Series X. It's not well suited to a 4K TV either.
The basic Series S is $100 less than the Digital PS5 so at least it's a noticeable price difference.
Hope this also leads to 60fps on RDR2.

The character switching in GTA5 added a lot of fun and variety to the gameplay.
In Spider-Man 2, I hope we'll also get some fun setups when you switch (e.g. unique conversations with citizens like the fake Spider-Man, random crimes with higher production values, etc).
It should have less repetition because if anything starts to get boring, you can switch and get different abilities, swing styles and gadgets.
This was back when the game wasn't free to play.

Based on that projection, the MTX revenue for Destiny 2 likely would have been closer to ~$240m for 2 years.
