Not a great month for me. Will give Midnight Suns a go.

I've never played Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier. Might give it a go although it's supposed to just be okay.

Never played a Phoenix Wright game before, so might try Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy.

A list like this isn't telling you not to play the previous games if you want to. It's just giving you legendary games to play.

But tbh, you don't always have to force yourself to play every entry in a franchise to get to the better ones.

- The vast majority of Witcher 3 players never played the first 2 and had a great time. The first 2 games aren't in the same league.
- The GTA games are self-contained with the odd fun reference....

Ghost Of Tsushima probably cost 2 to 2.5 times more money to make, to be fair.

We need more games that cost $20m-$50m, and they will sometimes have graphics or technical aspects that aren't quite as good but ...

Think of how much variety and new IP we got in the PS2 era and to an extent in the PS3 era when big games cost way less than even that.

PCs with slow HDDs would stutter and freeze trying to catch up in heavy moments when rifts are used.

Regardless, your point is random and has nothing to do with the topic.

purple101's point is just that more users will be able to play the game at the best settings now versus if it came to PC in 2020 which is objectively true. You're being weird.

Reminds me of when the Wii U's poor sales led to speculation that consoles are dead. It's so repetitive and annoying.

Some people act like we're all about to switch over to cloud gaming when the internet infrastructure and data caps alone would take decades to accommodate such a change.

Google Stadia was shut down and died a horrific death just 1 year ago. lol

Yeah, a lot of people push fake narratives about NaughtyDog and misquote things. That quote is very straightforward.

Above is the complete debunking of a false story that still gets spread around all the time. And the bad faith actors doing it also only pin it on Druckmann for some reason and ignore Straley. They want to portray Druckmann as an evil scheme...

This game was my GOTY for 2023. The puzzles, the story, the soundtrack ... all top tier. It's a very special game.

It got great reviews (90 on Metacritic) but a lot of authors at gaming outlets who only have a casual interest in puzzle games managed to get away with having to play it.

@Crows90

anast is right. The most common suggestion from people who hate TLOU2 is that Joel should have died in a blaze of glory late in the game, protecting Ellie. If that's a limitation of the mind ... then surely you should direct your comment at the people actually making the suggestion rather than shooting the messenger?

Bruce doesn't have any writing credits on anything. He's not a writer. Bruce selected Druckmann and leaned on him to le...

Since they're revisiting this game ... they should do the Lord's work and give us a 60fps patch for PS5 and Series X. ⛪

Doesn't change your point but a small correction.

Alan Wake 2 did recoup more than the development costs ($50m) already. But the additional marketing costs (further $25m) haven't been covered yet.

I don't think it's all doom and gloom for that game. Control sold much slower and went on to sell 4 million. But obviously, you'd hope it would sell much more. It deserves better sales.

It's interesting that marketing ...

No. Infamous was successful. But after a few entries (which are taking longer to make these days) a lot of Sony studios move on to new IPs. That's not a bad thing at all. They don't need to make inFamous games forever, just like we didn't need new Sly Cooper games forever.

But people would like to be able to easily play them on current hardware which is reasonable. Same for Killzone, Resistance, MGS4, etc. Good games shouldn't be trapped on old hardware. It&...

Would like remasters of 1 and 2. I enjoyed them much more than Second Son.

1 & 2 had more of an emphasis on climbing and the traversal requires a bit more effort in a good way. It was rewarding. Second Son made climbing mostly obsolete so they put little effort into it. The traversal was just great in inFamous 1 & 2. There's a reason Sunset Overdrive copied and improved upon the induction grind mechanic.

Reminds me of how I felt about the decl...

No. Most PC players played Starfield on Steam and generally don't want to touch the Xbox app or use other storefronts that much.

That's why they put their games on Steam. It's the dominant storefront on PC.

A non-PC game would hardly have players on Steam now, would it?

You have to use same headline that the article uses.

No, it's a second party game. Sony own the Helldivers IP and funded the game.

It's like saying in 2018 "Why do people think Resistance, Ratchet & Clank and Spider-Man are PlayStation games? Sony doesn't even own Insomniac."

You don't have to own a studio for it to be your game.

That's a weird attitude that's developed recently that's ahistorical. Microsoft, for example, didn't own Playgroun...
