I miss MAG. 🗿
100% agree. I suggest people watch DigitalFoundry's video for a non-clickbait, competent analysis: https://youtu.be/XCmoZ8Rxiq...
Completely agree. DigitalFoundry even said that the game looks great and that the lack of these features for a fighting game prioritising response time makes sense.
PS4 Pro patches set PS5 backwards combability up to be WAY better, making the PS5 a better console. That alone justifies it. They were objectively a good thing for consumers. Even if you don't get a PS5 Pro, it will benefit you in the future when you get a PS6.
"Like I've said above, developers haven't even got started with what we have now,"
That's not true though. Non cross-gen games like Final Fantasy 16, Baldur's Gate 3, ...
$10
Metal: Hellsinger recently added a roguelite mode and ... I've been playing a lot of it. Highly recommend that game.
I actually added Tinykin to my wishlist just the other day. haha. I was surprised by how great it seems - never heard of it until then. Seems to have been extremely overlooked compared to something like A Hat In Time despite better reviews.
Gave it a go - this mode is exactly what the game needed (besides maybe a campaign DLC).
Metal: Hellsinger and Trepang2 are the best FPS games I've played in a good while and they're both from small dev teams.
The game has been selling very well on console though.
They went out of their way to get it to play well with a controller. The UI, movement, inventory menus, etc are quite different.
If you look at the GTA5 reveal trailer compared to this one, the jump is absolutely massive, tbh. https://youtu.be/QkkoHAzjnU...
Even multiple releases later, GTA5 now still looks so flat and undetailed by comparison. https://youtu.be/VNbONMSObf...
Could you give a timestamp to any shot in the trailer that looks ugly?
I bought Sable a while back because it seems like a game I'd love and the art style is amazing but ... dear God ... https://youtu.be/mIJ7EjKhN-... The framerate is like a car that's conking out and about to die. It stutters all over the place, especially on the bike. It's not very playable.
You can get used to a low framerate but not this. It's like this on every platform and ...
It's a particularly childish form of deflection. Hi-Fi Rush got quite a few nominations because it's actually a great game and deserves them.
Last year Stray and A Plague Tale: Requiem were nominated for GOTY. Hi-Fi Rush would have made the top 6 last year.
But it's fair to say that this year was stacked (the best year for games in a while) so it didn't make it but neither did a lot of high quality games so it's no slight against it. S...
Nice to see The Talos Principle 2 get some love too. A lot of great puzzle games this year like it and Chants Of Sennaar are getting barely any attention.
@JackBNimble
TLOU2 came out in 2020. Not sure where you're getting 5 years from.
@MrBaskerville
The situation on all these other Sony PS4 gen-> PS5 ports was objectively worse and less consumer-friendly than for TLOU2.
Spider-Man Remastered: $20 upgrade until May 2023, now $10 upgrade
- No free 60fps patch
- Originally only available in Miles Morales Ultimate Edition (sort of like MW Remastered only being available by also buying Infinite Warfare).
- Upgrade to Ultimate Edition cost $20.
- $10 up...
No Pure is definitely a miss.
Hate to see no credit ever been given to Ridge Racer Unbounded as well. Putting aside that it's not really a Ridge Racer game, it's a really fun game for fans of Burnout and Split/Second.
Yeah, you're basically paying €10 for some DLC. There's a lot concern trolling going on.
These guys weren't losing their minds like this when every other late PS4 game like Ghost Of Tsushima, Death Stranding, FF7 Remake, Spider-Man, Nioh 2, etc got a PS5 port.
And it's not even just because it has "remastered" in the name because Spider-Man Remastered and TLOU2 Remastered's release dates are both almost 4 years from the OG r...
They should do a 60fps patch for PS5 and Series X.
Nah, it's a great game. Bought it last year on PS5 and would highly recommend that anyone with Game Pass give it a go. It even had one of the better implementations for Dualsense features.
It's just really fun and we need more games like this. I would like a sequel that expands on the list of tricks and goes all out with crazier map designs.
Ghostwire: Tokyo is Tango's worst game and doesn't belong on a list like this.
It should probably be replaced with either Returnal, Spider-Man 2, Resident Evil 4, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Cyberpunk 2077/Phantom Liberty, Baldur's Gate 3 or Alan Awake 2. There's too many better choices than Ghostwire than I have the time to list, tbh.
