They get clicks but not sure how people aren't tired of being tricked by fake stories designed to rile them up like what Elon reposted here.
No. Tim Sweeney is not so subtly spreading the bullshit narrative again that single-player games are dying - he's saying that people want to play games with their friends instead.
If anything, the big budget projects that are consistently failing to make money are the type of games that he is pushing. Metaverse, live service shit. Single-player games are more likely not to bomb.
But rather than sniffing out this bullshit, you're opportunistically ...
Nice. Would be ideal if Lumen will be part of Performance Mode in more games going forward.
The best, most transformative use of Lumen lighting I've seen was in The Talos Principle 2. But it was only in Quality Mode with an inconsistent framerate (mostly 40fps-60fps). Beautiful game either way though.
I don't think GamePass is the problem here, tbh. It's more of a worsening Bethesda issue.
Starfield likely sold enough when there was that initial hype to be profitable. The Steam Charts showed that a lot of people paid extra for early access on PC.
The game design is just deeply flawed. They tried something bigger than they could properly achieve. And they've ignored most feedback for a long time.
This might be the blunt wa...
It's just the same as PS4 Pro where you can enable Boost Mode in the settings.
Sony consoles don't peak at the midpoint though. 2020 and 2018 were arguably PS4's best years. Next year looks pretty stacked in general (look at February alone). 2025 looks even better than 2023
Four days ahead of launch of the standard version.
Two days ahead of the launch of the deluxe version.
Not bad.
@Vits
The PS5 Pro is more powerful than the PS5 - you can use PSSR without increasing latency compared to the base PS5. Do you not use DLSS or FSR on PC?
That's not true though. If you go to the YouTube comment section for the trailer, a complaint you'll see from a huge amount of people is not a concern about the model. It's that there's a female protagonist.
They just outright say it. lol. They're not bothering to coach it in some other criticism.
You genuinely think Zero Dawn from 2017 looks better than Forbidden West?
Nintendo prefer patent wars.
The PS4 was "pushed to its limits" with later games like TLOU2 and Red Dead Redemption 2 regardless of the PS4 Pro.
People forget that these are still video-games. The same map again just a few years later fighting a similar invasion would be repetitive.
And it would limit improvements to combat - SuckerPunch said in 2020 that we were not able to dual wield in GOT because Jin "was trained to fight with a single sword in a traditional style". This new character has dual katanas and will fight differently.
The map also needs to be completely fresh and fun to ex...
Where is your source for PS5 selling less than PS4? That's not what's been reported. https://insider-gaming.com/...
I doubt that the big YouTubers who capitalised on this (1 million plus views) like Asmongold are going to do a follow-up video correcting this narrative.
It's the games still stuck on PS3 that really need remasters or emulation. Oh well. They ported a few PS3 games but games like Resistance 1-3, Killzone 2+3, inFamous 1+2, R&C: A Crack In Time, etc available to play again would be nice.
The TLOU2 remaster did have some extra content in it (like No Return and the Lost Levels) for the €10, so they would ideally do the same for this.
A co-op version of the Challenge/Horde mode might actually make peop...
Astro Bot came out 2 weeks ago. It's a fail if the State Of Play doesn't have a big reveal like Ghost Of Tsushima 2 though if they're going to show this.
This is an odd remaster. Would be a bit less odd if they reversed course and Bend is making a sequel or spin-off but I think it's because there's a movie. https://www.imdb.com/news/n... Otherwise, it would kind of just remind people t...
Hi-Fi Rush on the Switch 2 at launch would probably sell a good amount.
@Asos88
The PS5 Pro should be cheaper. But you don't have to squint to see how blurry a game like FF7 Rebirth (60fps) looks. On a 4K screen, yeah, it's blurry.
Compared to DLSS and PSSR, FSR is a poor quality upscaler. Quite a few games are running at low resolutions and using FSR to clean them up. But FSR is substandard so the end result isn't always good - like vaseline has been applied.
Unreal Engine 5 is going to be th...
Consoles already have FSR. PSSR is an improvement roughly on par with DLSS.
