Some gamers apparently love staring at Steam player counts and rooting for games to die once the count starts to decrease (inevitable), trying to discourage more people from playing because "it's dying".
This Green Goblin quote unironically describes them: https://encrypted-tbn0.gsta...
Hope that the rollout across regions isn't too gradual. The Explore tab was never available where I live - think only the US ever got it.
I assume this is purely just the tech overview. He did the same thing for the base PS5. There's a rumoured separate event for games.
Some games have difficulty built into the core of the game, e.g. Hotline Miami. I haven't played Wukong but in general, a lack of an easy difficulty setting isn't poor game design. It can actually lead to better, tighter design.
Team Asobi are perfectionists. Wonder if GTA6 will come with the classic large manual and map in the box.
The PS5 was backwards compatible with console prior to it 4 years ago ...

Depends on your region. Here in Ireland, there's another 5 hours and 20min to go. 😐
People better support this game. Its sales on the PS Store (#10) are looking a bit soft. Hoping the reviews and good word of mouth will do the job. And I imagine it will have a long tail.
Bit melodramatic. Concord is shit but Astro Bot is coming out tomorrow and it's one of the highest rated games of all time (94). It appears to be GOTY.
Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown is the closest that they've gotten in a while.
Don't think anyone said anything about 60fps at 4K. And these consoles do have access to FSR.
Hope that Anger Foot won't take long to be ported to consoles.
I think it's just presumed that random, poor quality handheld ports (or anything along those lines) aren't even worth considering when ranking the series.
That's not the issue. If Far Cry 3 never existed and they just made another 5 or 6 games that were increasingly generic copies of Far Cry 2 instead, would that make FC2 the real problem?
No. It's the lack of creativity and effort that followed that's the real issue.
And there are things that are genuinely different about FC3. Simple example - the story was easily the best. Best main villain by far too but it also has strong themes and wasn...
Some PVE missions/a campaign would probably would have benefitted the game a lot.
If you're talking about raw games sales, then no. Helldivers 2 is Sony's fastest selling game of all time (12m as of May).
Borderlands 3 makes very good use of the triggers. Each gun feels unique.
That's objectively not true: https://www.reddit.com/r/PS...
The PS5 and Series X were much more powerful at launch relative to other hardware on the market compared the PS4 and Xbox One at launch. Especially on the CPU side.
Great game but I do have 1 big issue with the controls on PS5. Unlike most games where to sprint you just click the stick in once as you're moving, in this game you actually have to keep the stick pushed in the whole time. Very unpleasant. And there's no toggle in the settings to fix it.
So for anyone who plays the game on console, I'd recommend changing sprint to R1/RB. And change crouching to toggle instead of hold.
I disagree, tbh. I definitely wouldn't classify Vince Zampella as a soulless suit. It's kind of an acknowledgement that Battlefield fell off which is why they had to bring him in in the first place. He's probably the best shot EA has of making this franchise fun again.
From a software development perspective, what I read in the article of Zampella's approach of being able to easily playtest and iterate from early on in development is a good thing. That'...
